OMG!! This is such a yummy story- Zoey has a stalker so her sister Elle,,
who by the way, is a former model, gets her a bodyguard. Zoey is at
first like WOE NO! But when she sees her
bodyguard she has this refreshing turnabout in her thoughts. This is where we
meet Drake Hart and oh my GAWD is he described well. Zoey just opens her
mouth and about anything comes out and I loved it. She just said what she
thought and wanted. This is my type of heroine and she is adorable ; she didn’t let the grass
grow under her feet. She speaks and says whatever she wants, not because she
does it for shock value but that is how she rolls. To her, it is how she has always
been, it’s a quirk her family has always known and has embraced and loved- may
not have liked sometimes the things that come out of her mouth but never made
her feel less because of it. Zoey is quirky, sweet, naïve, and wears glasses-
just the type of girl for this Hero.
Drake Hart is definitely
an alpha male and when he got the job to see to Zoey’s safety and to
finding out who is stalking her , instead of passing up to someone else, he
took the job personally and went to guard her body day and night. Gotta love
the attention to detail {smile}. Drake
immediately felt this kinship, this attraction to Zoey all by looking at her
picture and then they meet and BOOM the story fully begins.
Drake & Zoey have
this hot and passionate relationship- He is deep, at times reserved because of
what his job is but when it comes to Zoey, he is all over her .He loves her and
its immediate. I love how he takes her safety, her life is his total responsibility.
There are several scenes where he makes it perfectly clear what happens what happens
if she were to “disobey” him. HOT HOT HOT
As for the stalker/ life in
danger on Zoey- that was a good plot that brought them together and also
brought couple # 2 together - I figured it out toward the end about the time it
was told in the book. As mentioned, there is a secondary story going on
regarding Zoey’s sister and Drake’s Partner- loved reading that , trust me, it
is insanely great—the humor and fire in the story will make you love the humor
and passion in story # 1 as well. What an awesome story that I have re-read
over and over because it is that delicious due to the Hunky Drake and Precious
Zoey.
