Wrecked is the third and
final book in the Axle Alley Vipers series by Sherilee Gray and in my mind one
of the best.
Piper West is the youngest of
the three sisters and she feels like she always has to prove herself to
her family. Her older siblings look out for her and it is being tiresome. She
now lives alone in the cottage
next door to the garage but to Piper it is something she likes and finds good
in her life at the moment. But of course her older brother thinks something is
wrong so he asks his good friend now employee Cole Black to do him a
favor and move back and move in to the empty apartment above the garage, right
next to the cottage where Piper lives.
UH OH—fireworks go down! I so know what that’s like with family- they do not
respect the boundaries given or privacy.
Now Cole , he is one handsome man with a past- he used to work for the
police in NY but he had to leave after something happened to his friend and
partner. He couldn’t stay so he left the force and came back to Miami to work
for Deke West and turn his
security business right side up and around. Thing is, he has secretly wanted
his sister like forever. Can he move into that empty apartment and near his
temptation? Oh this was soo good. Cole had so many demons riding him all
because he wanted to be the right man for Piper and thought he wasn’t good enough
for her.
Piper, too, has always wanted
Cole and to have him back near her was so tempting but the push/pull about
drove her nuts. Until they kissed and BAM!!! That freakin chemisty lit them up
and sent them rockin. This is a beautiful story about personal forgiveness and
personal redemption. The ending was wonderful. The way the series ended being
wrapped up was icing on my personal cake. I loved the Axel Alley Vipers
and hope the author revisits this series someday, and these couples for I would
love to know how they are doing.
My rating: 4.5 stars ****
