other like the moth and the flame.
For years, we've been best friends.
I told him all my secrets and I believed I knew his.
In camp, I thought he was the most beautiful boy in the world.
In high-school, I promised him my virginity.
On our first day of college, I had three revelations:
He's a jerk.
He doesn't care.
I don't even know him.

****MY REVIEW ****
This story had a cute
and sweet premise about a boy and girl who fell in love at summer camp.
They promised to write letters to each other and did until the letters stopped
altogether. Then we see the main couple meet up again at college. This is where
we see the boy who is now a man treat the girl who is now a woman with such
contempt and is dismissive of her. This is Oscar and Delia’s love story. I
liked the start of the story but midway thru the story, the story seemed to just
get confusing and lost. There is a lot of angst and pain – Oscar blows hot and
cold toward Delia. There is a push and
pull between the young lovers. It was hard to figure out why Oscar acted the
way he did yet when it was all explained, things still didn’t add up. I didn’t get really any attraction between
the main characters and what promise there was to the story slowly died. I will
say I have a lot of questions that still remain which is good because I still
want to know so that is why I gave the book a slightly higher rating. The
characters are good and the writing is good , things just appeared to be all
over the place by the end of the story. I still would be interested in reading
this author again.
My Rating: 3.75 stars *****
