War & Love by Winter Renshaw is a complex, intense and unexpected romance read. Love has just recently gotten out of a very long relationship that was way overdue. Her ex-husband was a total sleeze and he did a number on Love. She is just getting back on her feet emotionally and is ready to focus on what's next in her life. Enter into her life is Jude , her new and sexy next door neighbor. When they meet, she didn’t expect the attraction to spring up like it did . Jude, an ex-army man , seems like a good and honest man but he is hiding a wealth of secrets. Jude is struggling with what he has to do yet at the same time, he has fallen head over heels in love with Love. He knows it just a matter of time before his house of cards comes tumbling down. Will Love forgive him? What will end up happening to him? Will these two get the HEA they truly deserve ? This is a story that will make you think, will make you angry, will make you tear up and will have you smiling. Sometimes all at once and other times, in many a different order. This is a story full of FEELS, full of emotions, and intrigue. I loved the characters in this story. They came off as very real life. I didn’t want this story to end. I needed more of Jude and Love. Ms. Renshaw writes her characters with such life, such freshness and excitement. I look forward to see what is next by this author.
