Carver Jones is the President of Jones + Gallum and he is held this title since his father retired. He thought he would be CEO when his father's former partner Dennis Gallum announced he too was stepping down but not so fast- for Dennis Gallum daughter Amity was nominated to be CEO in her father's place and she definitely gives him a run for his money. Now its on between these two for the position of CEO, something Carver didn't expect. When she was off living her life elsewhere, Carver was working his way up the ladder and paying his dues.
When these two were younger, they were good friends but something changed when they were 15 and then they quit being friends and haven't seen each other since.
When Amity comes into the building, gone is the geeky girl and in her place is a sexy, intelligent woman ready to hit the ground running. Carver sits up and takes notice. Amity comes in with a chip on her shoulder and a grudge. Can Carver overcome the grudge and get past the past? Will he realize that Amity is the woman for him or will they both let the past overcome their present and future?
This is one funny, hot, witty story with awesome quips between Carver and Amity. I enjoyed their intense romantic chemistry and the setting. The ending was a tad rushed but overall this was fantastic!!
