This new series by author Jules Barnard is a spin off from her Men of Lake Tahoe series. In her last book, we met Adam Cade. In this book, we get to meet the remaining Cade brothers and what brothers they are.
This book is about Levi-In Tempting Levi, we get to know all about him, his past and his pain. Levi is an ex-fireman and new CEO of Club Tahoe. We learn why he is no longer a fireman and what led to him becoming the CEO of Club Tahoe. Although his father left him a business to run, Levi has no clue how to begin. Which is how we meet his heroine--his father sent him Harvard Business Grad, Emily Wright to help (rescue) him. There is only one problem-Emily is his ex’s little sister.
There is so much chemistry between the pair. They lit up the pages and sizzled that I was surprised my pages weren’t set on fire. Both are attracted to each other and Levi refused to act on that attraction or even acknowledge it. That drew me in, as to why he wouldn’t act on it when Emily really was in love with him, had been in love with him for a long time but didn’t dare do anything , less to hurt her sister. Now that they weren’t together, she wanted to show Levi how she felt but he blew hot and cold. There are many twists and turns that took this story in many different directions, including the other brothers story lines included that alludes to what their stories will be which has me eager to read about them. Also there is major trust issues that Levi has which complicates his and Emily love but Im a sucker for love which this story definitely has. Emily is NOTHING like her sister which is major plus on her side. Will Levi let her walk away or will he wake up and see what a gem he has in Emily?
This is a tremendous , fantastic story which I truly recommend!
