'Preservation' by Kate Canterbary is book 7  in "The Walshes" Series. 

This is Riley’s emotional story and what a story it is. I don’t want to give any spoilers away but what I can tell you this story will have you reaching for tissues and it will take your breath away.

Riley is always walking in at the most inopportune moments  like when our favorite couples in the Walshes series are having some sexual time  and he interrupts (awkward!), or his getting injured but he is just being Riley. In this book, we come to see there is more to him than the lighthearted persona he projects and there is a deeper pain and some secrets he has been hiding from his family. Ones he is so afraid of getting out. This took my breath away and had me just in shock but he is still the same Riley, still the same   heart of gold Riley.

Now HIS someone Special enters his life and boy is she a bit sarcastic and is a sassy lady.  She is also brilliant, beautiful and quirky. She had me sit up and take notice and so did Riley.  He doesn’t realize she is His Someone Special but I knew it and when you read this story , you see she is the one for him immediately. Its unexpected but needed for him.  The dual POV is shown for Riley and his lady so you see how they feel and what they are thinking in this story. Also, The Walsh family members are in this story and are definitely in this story so be prepared for the family.  As always with the Walshes, there are the good times and the bad, the highs and the lows. 

Riley –what can I say? He is so complex that I even now do not know what to say and am speechless. But in a  good way. This story is breathtaking and complex, full of passion and angst, love and forgiveness.  As always, Kate Canterbury has written a delectable tale that is romantic, sexy, passionate, and spellbinding. Kate has a way with her words and expressing emotions that come across to her readers and really gets you to feel her characters’ feelings whether they are full of love or anger or pain and yet still say invested until the very end. I am so glad she writes because I love every written word. This has been the book I have been waiting for and what a wait!! I cannot wait to see what she releases next!
