Meghan Quinn’s books will always make you think and will have you look at things differently from when you first start the book and that's GOOD! She always manages to surprise me with each and every book she puts out and I love that about her. Even within the emotional moments, there is some lighthearted moment that has me in stitches for she writes some funny things within the pages of her books but it doesn't take away from very emotional storyline and that makes her one of my favorite authors within the romcom genre.
With My Best Friend's Ex, readers will remember Tucker Jameson from Co-Wrecker. He is such a handsome, broken yet deeply sensual man. In that book, we caught glimpses of the pain he carried with him and now we get to see him in full effect with Quinn and those layers are definitely pulled back and exposed when he gets involved with Emma.
Emma and Tucker grew up together in the same circle of friends until Tucker suffered two huge losses and friends ended up choosing sides. Emma chose Sadie,Tucker's ex-girlfriend which meant she lost touch with Tucker. Until now, where she runs into him in a bar.... Emma has only a couple of days to find a new place to stay and Tucker kindly offers to let Emma stay with him as a roommate until she can find a new place to stay.
You get to see them rebuild their friendship but something else happens; they start falling in love but Tucker is so beautifully broken that he finds it very hard to let Emma in. Emma doesn't give up, she fights for them. Yet there are twists and turns that take this awesome couple on a roller coaster of a journey. Will they or wont they?
I don't want to spoil this for you except to say, you have to read this beautiful love story that Ms. Quinn wrote. It is a standalone and it is so full of emotions and witty quips and funny things that I want to tell you all but cant. You wont go wrong with this story is all I can say!!
