OMG!! This
new book by the writing duo of Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde is fabulous.
It is sassy, sexy, erotic, flirty, fun and naughty. It is about a best friend’s
little sister story—that is the best kind.
What you have are the little sister and the older best friend
are at odds-they are competitive , they have this sort of adversarial
relationship in business and behind all that , there is sexual tension building
–ohh and to me made “BIG SHOT” a yummy read and one I could sneak my teeth into
and lose myself in, that’s how good this book is.
Wes Sinclair along with
several of his good friends worked hard to get their company “Premier
Realty” off the ground and for the past 6 yrs or so, they have done
really well. However Wes’s best friend’s little sister, Natalie Prescott , has become a bit of a pest and a
thorn in his side the past year by honing in on his territory and
building quite the reputation for herself in real estate. Now she is
gaining their clients and because of that, Wes makes a bet with Natalie and
that set off more than they bargained for.
This book had many twists and
turns, a lot of sexual tension which led to a lot of sexy scenes/ no no strings
secret affair. That said affair leads
to the emotional side of the story and we get to see these characters open up
to each other and we find out there is more to them than we would have ever
imagine. They are so well matched, the fire in them both makes their affair red
hot and passionate. I loved watching them match wits . I ached when there was
turmoil ; the ups and downs of their relationship made for some of the best
parts of the story. I don’t want to say much but what you think is the angsty
part really isn’t and when you find out what is, you will be amazed and I loved
the ending. I cannot wait for book 2 in this series- this is one great writing
duo.
