On the surface, Dale Sterling seemed like an a*****e from my past; the typical arrogant guy who boulders through life and anyone in his way. So a little revenge seemed plausible, considering what he did to me once upon a long time ago. In hindsight, it was immature. But revenge has kept me on top of the world since I stopped being on the bottom of everyone's shoes, so I make no apologies for my immaturity.
But Dale is weirdly kinky...
Everything is going fine...until it gets real. Now the guy I wanted to humiliate is the same guy I'm begging my heart not to stupidly fall in love with.

“I don’t have any idea how to use all this stuff,” I whisper-yell, and they both turn to look at me like I’ve sprouted a second head.
My cousins are loading down baskets full of somewhat complicated, kinky shit, yet I’m the one who is an idiot for not knowing how to use it.
Unbelievable.
I should have gone to Rye and Brin.
“You don’t actually use it,” Maverick says, his smile turning mocking.
“You kinky bastard,” Corbin adds, goading me with his own taunting smile.
I’m going to kill them both.
“Then why are we buying it?” I growl.
They exchange a horrified look mixed with fascination before doubling over, laughing harder and drawing too much attention our way.
“You really are a kinky little shit, aren’t you?” Maverick asks through his guffaws. “You wanted to use this stuff?”
Dead. They’re both dead.
“It’s always the quiet ones,” Corbin says, too damn amused for his own good.

Ahhh back to Sterling Shores –when
I heard there was a new Sterling Shores book, I was ecstatic because I was
excited to read and see how everyone was doing. It’s like catching up with
really good friends. Whenever I read these books, I feel like I am just catching
up on good friends’ lives.
This book is about Harley and
Dale Sterling. Harley is finally
coming back to Sterling Shores after “
the event” in High School which prompted
her to leave town and this is her coming back for the first time. Harley has an agenda and after it is
completed, she plans to blow this time for good. I could feel the pain coming from her yet at
the same time she is a woman who is still a little girl inside who craves acceptance
and love from those who withheld it from her.
Dale isn’t a bad boy
in the sense that we think of that definition. He is a good guy who is grown up
and is a knocked for a loop when a blast from the past is back in front of him.
IF he ever had any regrets, this is one.
Harley and Dale have this
push/pull thing going on. Harley wants to pursue her agenda but part of it when
it comes to Dale can never be done because she has always loved him and so then
she finds that he has feelings for her and throughout the book we see how their
relationship has ups and downs, exs and family interference. We also see great
moments with previous characters, couples and just moments that have you
laughing and wanting more. I do not want to give too much away but suffice to
say you will love this story and crave more, more Sterling, more Shores. There
is a epic scene that had me in stitches –just
know that Harley and Dale discovered one entrance is for out purposes ONLY
LOLOLOL. Trust me, that scene will stick with you for a while and leave you
laughing every time you think of it. I do wish to know a little bit more of the
back story of Harley and her dad. I kind of needed to know certain things. It
was left sort of vague as to why things happened and why her mom was the way
she was. Other than that, loved this
book and so cannot wait for the next book in this series.
