“Can I help you?” I asked. He blinked and met my eyes. “What the hell are you doing over there?” I pushed to stand up straight. “Right now?” He capped his water bottle. “Well, honestly… I’m just thinking you’d look better over the hood of that car than under it.” I unhooked the hood and slammed it down, spinning on the balls of my feet. Our eyes met properly. I didn’t like what I saw in his—desire, attraction, need. Which was obviously why a shiver ran down my spine. I cocked a hip, putting my hand on it. “The only time you will ever get me over a hood of a car is if a wiper blade needs changing. So, unless you’re a wiper blade...” Dex pulled his phone from his pocket and started tapping the screen. I blinked. “What are you doing?” He peered up at me through his unfairly thick eyelashes. “Seeing if I can get a wiper blade costume for Halloween.” “I don’t even know how to respond to that.” “You can buy wiper blade glasses.” “What?” He raised his eyebrows. “And a lady here on eBay will hand-make any costume. There’s my Halloween sorted.” I stared at him. “You’re not getting me over anything, Dex. Definitely not a car hood. No matter what you think.” He clutched his chest dramatically. “You wound me.” “Unfortunately not fatally,” I muttered. “You also underestimate me.” “There’s a lot of that going around in this garage.” I put the bottle of coolant away. “Touché.” “Thank you.” “Can I ask you something?” I sighed and turned to face him again. “What?” Earnestly, he asked, “Can you stop wearing those tiny shorts? Or yoga pants that make me want to touch your ass every five minutes?” I looked down at the ripped shorts of my dungarees. “Can you keep your thoughts to yourself? Control yourself, maybe? Not look at me and see someone worth screwing?” By day, New York Times and USA Today bestselling New Adult author Emma Hart dons a cape and calls herself Super Mum to two beautiful little monsters. By night, she drops the cape, pours a glass of whatever she fancies—usually wine—and writes books. Emma is working on Top Secret projects she will share with her followers and fans at every available opportunity. Naturally, all Top Secret projects involve a dashingly hot guy who likes to forget to wear a shirt, a sprinkling (or several) of hold-onto-your-panties hot scenes, and a whole lotta love. She likes to be busy—unless busy involves doing the dishes, but that seems to be when all the ideas come to life.SIGN UP FOR ALL NEW RELEASE INFO!

******MY REVIEW *******
MISS MECHANIC by Emma Hart is
a fun, witty, sexy, steam filled romance read that will keep you smiling even
after the book is over. It is a total GEM!! It is full of witty banter, great
feels and just priceless quips that had me laughing while reading and the
sexual tension between Jamie and Dex had my kindle steaming up.
Emma Hart knows how to write a story that will keep your interest along with
making the characters relatable and likeable.
Jamie has spent her whole
life surrounded by cars and their parts (i.e. engines) so for her she found
it was easy to become a mechanic like her dad since she grew up around those
items as a kid—she literally grew up in a garage as a small child and has the
touch to fix anything. She knows about anything about the cars and the people
in her little town. Thing is, her family have hit pretty rough times which has
made her dad close down his business
which has caused Jaime some money issues because she worked for him. She cannot get a job elsewhere, not
because she isn’t qualified but because she is a woman. When Jamie gets news
that her dad’s old garage has been re-opened and looking to employ a mechanic,
she immediately jumps at the chance to work at her old stomping grounds but she
wasn’t ready for the new owner, Dex. They are like oil and water. He had this
intensity about him and he is super hawt. Thing is, he too, has the same views
about women in the garage and work force as well but Dex completely
underestimated Jamie and I mean in many ways, especially about her
abilities as a mechanic. She is good at giving as good as what is being given
out and she will give it out in spades. Dex comes to realize that he might have
made a mistake about Jaime. He agrees to a trial run as Jaime being their new
mechanic but it’s the attraction he has to her that bothers him more
than him hiring her as the new mechanic. Jaime is happy to have a job and also
feels the attraction so she fights it. These two dance around their
feelings and use witty banter to mask their feelings. How long can that occur
before the big BOOM will happen? Can Jaime and Dex continue on without them
finally acknowledging their feelings and when they do, will that bring them
closer together or tear them apart..for good? Will Jaime get to stay on at a
job she loves or will she end up having to leave a job she loves and move away
to finally get to do something she loves? The answers are all there but you
need to read this fabulous new read by Emma Hart.
