CROSS MY HEART by Carly Phillips is book 1 in the Ty and Hunter Series.
Lacey/Lilly, Ty and Hunter. They are friends that are formed by circumstances; family that are formed by choice. They made a promise to always protect each other, even if it means letting each other go. No matter how painful it may be. Lacey at 17 years old has to make a decision that no one ever should; to be the one who has to "cease to exist". Her abusive uncle is going to continue to abuse her , torment her and the only way out is to just completely disappear forever. Her best friends Ty and Hunter offer up their help to make sure that everything goes off smoothly so her uncle won't question.
Fast forward 10 yrs later Hunter and Ty find out her uncle is pushing ahead to have her declared legally dead to collect her very hefty trust fund. Ty finds this out and immediately goes to New York City to bring Lacey back home.
Ty and Lacey's /Lilly's love affair never got a chance to get started 10 years ago. Now that she's come back and all those sizzling, passionate feelings that were left behind under the table years ago are back out on the forefront now for them to deal with.
