His Demand by Lisa Renee Jones is book 1 in the Dirtier Duet Series. This book starts the story of Gabe and Abbie. We met Gabe in his brother's Reid Maxwell book 'Dirty Rich Obsession'. Now get ready for Gabe and Abbie's story and what a deliciously dark and beautiful story it is. This is a duet with His Demand and book 2 called His Submission. Gabe and Abbie have some messed up issues/ bad things in their pasts but this was not to be told to us readers in this book. This book jumped right into their relationship without explaining thr past and right into the main attraction started by Abbie's Ex and Gabe's father's - the bad guys in this duet so far as I can tell.
Abbie is not looking for love at all for she has just gotten out of a very bad and very messy marriage and her ex is still causing her grief. This is how Abbie finds herself with Gabe as she needs his sexy legal best to protect her and her family from her ex. Gabe finds himself being super protective over Abbie whereas he he never was over ladies in the past that were in his life but something about Abbie just calls to his soul. Gabe does his alpha male thing and goes all protective over her. He wants to do whatever he can to end this situation, but Abbie wants to prove that she can stand up and take care of things by herself. I loved reading the push/ pull between these main characters as to who would come out on top and who would win over what was important; also the heat and chemistry between them was electric. I was dying to know what would happen. Would the secrets that Abbie houses be a cause for this couple to never be at all or will Gabe realize that Abbie is what he has been seeking all along? I can't wait for book 2!!
***His Demand & Her Submission can be read as a complete standalone duet. If you want to, I would suggest reading the Dirty Rich series in the proper order. All very sexy, adorable , exciting and sizzling books with a twist! *****
