Game On by Wendy Smith is an emotional powerhouse of a tearjerker 2nd chance at love romance story. Make sure to keep tissues handy!! Molly and Brad grew up together and dated; were in love but Molly broke up and moved away with really no explanation. Now 10 years later, she has returned for the funeral of her best friend. Molly is back and having to navigate the past while confronting her present-- Brad. He is still the same man she loved back then but he is hurt and bitter over how things transpired back then. He wants answers. Can Molly give them ? Will she ? And if she goes, will he even forgive her? Or has there been too much time and distance to ever bring them back together.
This story has some good twists and turns; deep emotional rollercoaster rides which had me wondering what would happen between Molly and Brad and the Feels were good. There were a few moments that had me questioning why Molly didn't just call Brad or why, if he loved Molly so much, just go get her...just little niggling things. Overall it was a great story with wonderful supportive cast of characters. I can't wait for the next book in this new series.
