The Necromancer's Bride had such an interesting plot, to be honest , not any that I've read before yet I really wanted to read more of- definitely a Halloween novella that was fitting for the season.
Sexy,hot, sweet, dark, short, and thrilling. I dont want to give any spoilers away so I'll try to keep my review short so not to spoil anything. Think twisted Beauty and the Beast mixed with an old, cult horror or French cult film ; thats the visual I had when reading this novella. Rhona is the sweet young virgin who has had the worst luck in her young life. She's been marked for death and now has ended back in the Necromancer's hands after her town has people dying from what could be the plague. Meremon healed Rhona years before when she was on the brink of death. He left her with a gift but that gift she could have done without. Now she has found her way back to Meremon to plead with him to save the people of her town when he takes her captive. As he sees it, his "bride" has come to him. Does Rhona know who she is to the Necromancer ? What will happen when she does? This is a dark, forbidden, complex and intense novella that has some twists that I didn't see coming. I do wish it was a tad bit longer but overall, was a great read.
