Celebrity by Sienna Snow is
book One in the Politics of Love series. This is the story of Samina and Devin. Samina
and Devin were married a few years ago but they kept their
relationship on the down low. No one knew they were married or even seeing each
other. They kept having issues with each other. Devin didn't think Samina chose
him over her family to which she felt she did. Then Devin kept their marriage a secret for FIVE years.
He even went so far as to go on dates with other women. I am here to say if the
man I was married to did that, I would be in a lawyer’s office so fast…So
Samina ended up pretend dating Other Men so that Devin wouldn’t think she was
sitting at home alone. They would break up and then get back together secretly
and finally Samina decided it was time to actually file for divorce and move
on. Yet Devin isn’t giving up without a fight and in the middle of all this
relationship drama, Samina is about to run for the Senate yet there is drama
about to be sprung on her. There is all this angst, tension, heartbreak
swirling around – Around all this, is parent drama too. I have to say, I
totally rooted for Samina and wanted to see her succeed and get her HEA. She
was a savy, sweet, tough yet at times fragile woman who deserves to find
happiness. I like Devin but I felt he could have fought harder, and sooner for
their relationship. I cant wait to read more books in this series.
