Title: I Do(n't)
Author: Leddy Harper
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 11, 2017
Blurb
I fell in love with Holden York when I was six years old.
Most of my youth came with spiral notebooks filled with doodles, wedding plans, and “Janelle York” looped in bubbly handwriting.
However, one night in Vegas changed everything.
I woke up to more than just a fantasy of my brother’s best friend.
Five years later, I'm standing on his doorstep confronting him about the secret he kept from me.
If you think this is the story of how we rode off into the sunset together…
You’re so wrong.
But if you think this is the story of how Holden blackmailed me into living with him...
You couldn't be more right.

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.
She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.
She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.
The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.

*********MY REVIEW********
I enjoyed this my best friend’s
sister/ my brother’s best friend story because of the emotional journey the
characters took . It wasn’t the usual story that you normally would have read.
There is so much more going on that what you see on the surface- you have to
read , no spoilers here.
What I will say is Janelle's
love is something she struggled with and when she felt like he betrayed
her, she acted out , almost like a spoiled brat which I had some issues with
BUT in saying that, I totally got why she acted that way. Holden's love
for Janelle was always there but he never let on, especially to Janelle. I
think maybe if he did, A LOT of the trouble, angst and issues could have been
avoided. Will he finally clue her in to how he feels or will he let her go this
time ---for good ? Before admitting to how he truly feels for her and will
Janelle not let Holden know how much she truly feels for him and has felt?
This story has so much going
on, with two main characters that will definitely try your patience but I can
tell you its so worth the time to read this story and invest in these
characters. I loved their passion, their intensity, their past which leads to
the present. I was hanging on the end of my seat waiting to know if they would
get the HEA they really deserved. I do wish that it didn’t take until the end
until we finally got an answer and we could have gotten more of an epilogue…
otherwise, great writing as always by Leddy Harper.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *****
