Synopsis
It has been said that boys and girls can never be ‘just’ friends, and until Nathan Penn barged into my life, I thought it was complete and utter nonsense. But one night changed everything, and what I thought was the defining moment in our friendship turned out to be more than either of us were ready for. When my boss tasks me with writing the University’s new sex advice column, Dear Delilah, I make it quite clear that I’m the least qualified person for the job - my experience is limited to one sexual encounter that taught me about love and loss all at once. So what makes me say ‘yes’? Simple. A distraction. Something to take my mind off Nathan. But once I start, I find myself wanting to be the voice of the girl who’s too afraid to ask for advice, the girl who wants to own her sexuality but doesn’t know how. Sounds easy enough. Except it isn’t. It’s complicated, and messy and awkward, and when Nathan offers to help, I’m caught between a rock and his hard place. Literally. It's only when my identity is threatened that I realize I might be in over my head. With all of it.Goodreads

**************MY REVIEW*************
This book is amazing
and full of emotional ups and downs which showcases what is so delicious
between the main characters, Savannah and Nathan. Savi and Nate had
this tremendous friendship alomg with this budding love; well Nate was deep in
love with Savi and unknown to Nate, Savi was deeply in love with him. What
could go wrong with a love story like that, you ask? LOTS!! All I can tell you is
there is a lot of miscommunication and misunderstanding.
Ms. Bester writes with so
much emotion and so much zest , her characters feel so real. There are a lot of
the secondary characters that I even wanted to
get more of their story as well while reading Savi and Nate’s story.
Savannah goes thru this
heartbreak that happens because of one moment and I truly felt every tear,
every pain, every bit of anger as she raged against Nathan. But at the same
time I felt Nathan’s remorse, his angst, his love for her as he tries to make
up for what went on. Not to say there are outside forces against them getting
back together . There is so much going on that I enjoyed delving into and
engrossing myself into this story. This is one hot Hudson U book that will have
you clamoring for more. Also what was fantastic is that Savannah found
something she liked doing, even though
at first she was completely against it. Her boss asked her
to be the columnist for the college paper as the “Dear Abby” which she
was completely against because her boss wanted her to focus more on the needs
of the college kids and questions they would ask which was sex, dating…things
like that. That is also an additional note to this story on how Savannah
bloomed and it was an added note to hers and Nate’s relationship so definitely do
not miss that.
This is a beautiful and
emotional college age love story which has two people who are in love and this
is path to their love story. I would love to read Nathan’s sister story and
Savannah’s older brother story. I got the impression they had something going
on. This is such a beautiful and
impacting story.
