Oh Yea, Back in Green Valley, Tennessee peeps and this is book 4 in the Winston Brothers Series by Penny Reid.

Beard in Mind was really an emotional story that had a good mix of humor threaded throughout this story. Beau and Shelly's romance showed up toward the end of Beard Science when we saw the intense connection and in Beard in Mind, their love story isn’t one that is where they fall immediately and instantly in love. Theirs is more of a deeper relationship –not love at first sight.

Shelly is unlike the others heroines in all the series that sort of interlink together  ( Beauty and the Mustache, The Winston Brothers &Knitting in the City ) There is so much phenomenal family history in this story , with the look siblings and their stories, the secondary stories going on with the townspeople,  secrets and stories going on at the same time this story is being told regarding the main couple of this story (Beau and Shelly).

I found Shelly to be an unusual style of heroine. She has been thru a lot and she can rub people, well Beau the wrong way but once he got to know her and SEE her for her she really is, he started to like her. Thing is, Shelly was complex and unique. She was deeply in love with Beau and had been for some time. She suffers from a horrible case of OCD and it grips her something terrible at times. What I love is she works to overcome it and doesn’t let that limit her. As for Beau, he comes off as easy breezy but he has things going on in his life that aren’t as simple as he has people believing. He suffers from huge insecurities and doubt. He also have huge drama that end up leaving him very shaken and doubting himself even further. He is so lost while he sees his twin going off and having all this adventure.

This is two people who are drawn to each other against all odds and find they complement each other and find they are the missing pieces to each other’s souls.  I loved Shelly and Beau together so much. This was such an emotional read and at times had me in tears yet in other parts had me laughing with glee . These are two people who just want to be accepted for who they are and in the end, we get to see their unique and beautiful love story which will have you rooting for this couple, as I was for them!! Awesome and Sweet!!
