My Review:
This is a story that will
stay with you long after you read it because it is so phenomenal. Be prepared
to go on an emotional journey that will tear your heart and soul to pieces and
then piece it back together tear by tear, and bit by bit but this story is so
worth it. The book is about Lilah and Bella. Oh wow, it is so
painful and my heart hurt for them. Bella is the one who had to have the
strength to get them away from the nightmare that they lived in, where they
were trapped. When they make it out of the monsters clutches ,these two are so
beaten down that at first they don’t know what to do because of the emotional
and mental abuse that they suffered. It took a kind hand offering them guidance
and a place to go and because of that, that’s where we meet Jackson. Oh he is one true alpha male and male dominance
all wrapped up in one package. He is like this hot , sexual beast who wants to
take Bella and protect her and whatever she considers under her care and he
wants to be their protector. He is like their white knight, avenging angel-you
ken my meaning? From the moment he meets Bella and Lilah, he knew something was
wrong ; it’s he just never realized how terribly hurt they were. Reading this book had me
grabbing tissues, reading how He fought to gain their trust, how he slayed their
dragons, hunted down the devil himself to keep his girls safe. This is the mark of a true alpha male
and I loved this about Jackson. Seeing Bella respond to him and how she came to
trust and open up made me see want to hug her and love her all the more. She
came so far and I loved that about her.
There are many twists and turns in this book and many that had me going “ooohhh”
or “ahhh”. Now I cannot wait for Mick,
Jackson’s partner’s book to come out
next. I am dying to find out his story and what is going on with him.
