My Review:
This is one leathal, hot, angst-ridden, passionate story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. It’s a enemies to lovers story that ends on a heck of a cliffhanger -- Viola Fisher cant stand her brother’s best friend, Travis King. She can’t stand him to the point of it literally being a hate feeling. It used to not be that way until he did something to make it that way. Travis is arrogant, and a womanizer. He loves to rile her up and look for ways to get her upset on purpose. Then something happens that puts Viola and Travis together for two weeks in the same apartment – it’s her brother’s apartment that he shares with Travis. Looks for tons of sexual tension filled with humor, sexual banter and innuendo. I loved how Viola didn’t let Travis intimidate her in anyway, because she is tired of letting him do that to her in the past and she is here now and ready to show him she is present and willing. Let the war games commence. Oh and they do.. I considered it like foreplay and chess all rolled into one. Their interaction with each other was intense yet so good, hot, and sexy. But in saying this, there is a villain in all this and I yelling at my kindle half the time and the other times, I had to get up and walk away because I was afraid to see what would happen next. As I said at the beginning, there is an epic cliffhanger which left me with my mouth wide open, begging for more. I couldn’t believe Kennedy left me, and the readers like that. OMG… Where do we go from this point? All I can say is book 2 will be epic. Viola and Travis play each other beautifully and their attraction for each other is beautiful yet intense.
My rating: 4.5 stars ****
