I was a pawn.
Weak and someone easily manipulated.
To be played with as he saw fit.
Until YOU.
YOU shone light in my now dark world.
It was YOU who made me smile.
For the first time in this game, I had hope.
All because of YOU.
The more powerful pieces on the board, however, were a threat to YOU and me.
They would win at any cost.
Two kings ruling with an iron fist.
Allies or opponents, it was hard to tell.
YOU promised to save me.
Told me we would win.
But then I was on the wrong side of the board.
This isn't YOU, baby.
And I don't know what to do.
The game is almost over and I'm counting on YOU.
Tick, tock...
Warning:
This Isn’t You, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes, excessive drug use, and violence, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to dark themes, then this story is not for YOU.
This story will make YOU smile.
This story will make YOU angry.
This story will make YOU crazy.
I hope YOU love it, baby.

My Review:
Book 4 in the War & Peace series continues the
dark and twisted path that I adore by K Webster. In this book, this book is
pretty much all about Gabriella Sharpe. Her story is not light and airy
but dark and filled with pain. This could be considered a standalone but it is
tied to the previous books in the War and Peace series.
Gabriella was abandoned by her dad after her mom
was murdered in a horrible fashion several years before. She ended up living
with the Berkley family and
they ended up adopting her. Heath Berkley, her new dad, was not a good man and the closer
she got to her 18th birthday, the more he got hands on with
Gabriella. The only hope, the only good thing she has in her new life is her
new sister, Vienna, who is her BFF and someone she confides in. Then she finds
out Heath is shopping her around to men who will strengthen his business and
that sends her running into the man who mows the lawn- Warren -
"Ren". There is a reason Ren is there and it is so
twisted. He has been watching over her
for 3 years and never once has he told her who he is and now time is ticking
for the lovers. This is a crazy, brilliant, dark, horrifying, drowning,
sensuous, painful dark romance story that has many twists and turns. I cannot
wait to see what the next book holds in the War and Peace series.
My rating: 4.8 stars ****
