Meet Aly Martinez

My Review:
Woooow! I am literally
blown away by book 2 in the Retrieval Duet series. I find it hard to express
myself. This book had me so invested with both couples , their angst,
heartbreak, pain, loss , betrayal, anger, yet at the same time we see , passion,
joy, determination, guts, power , bravery and the power of love.
You get to see the continuation
of Elizabeth's and Roman reaffirming their love
and their way back to each other, this book is more about Clare and her relationship
with Heath which we got to see glimpses in book 1. This book makes more sense,
especially when I start remembering things from book 1. Heath plays more than a
small role and there are many twists and turns in this story which kept me on
my toes.
Things start off slow and
steady but pick up around about the 60 % mark of the book and when that
happens, hold on tight. Things get rocky and revelations will come forth. Poor
Clare, she suffered thru so much for the love of one person and then to find
her happiness with this one person who shows her she does matter, that she is
beautiful and smart. All the pain and loneliness, the fear and heartbreak would
never be with him was beautiful to read. The two stories in total was so
emotional , that it at times brought me to tears. I have to say the ending was
the ultimate completion of this epic ending of these two stories. Clare and
Heath’s love story will captivate you and enthrall you until the very end.
Kudos to the author for writing such a grand love story with great main
characters.
