This was very much a suspenseful and psychological thriller because of how much the heroine suffered and didnt understand why. Baylee had this great high school boyfriend whom she loved alot. She was fixing to have her 18th birthday and was very happy in her life. And in a heartbreaking, terrifying moment --everything changed. She was kidnapped out of her house by a man she loved as a family member -she didnt understand why he did what he did nor did she understand in the coming weeks the horrible , degrading things he did and made her think that she liked. In order to survive, she had to pretend to like the things he did to make it to the next day...and to the next and the next. Oh how I wanted that man to die a slow and horrible death but alas that didnt happen in the book but something strange did...he sold her-sold her to make money off her but she was bought by a young man who saw the purity of her and only wanted her to make his life strangely better--and his name is War.. Baylee and War--what a strange couple but what a awesome couple. He helps her and understands her --Baylee suffered because some horrible man wanted something he would never have and he despoiled her mind but never did she give him what he truly wanted--he will never give up but that is the beauty of this book is because War is this man who once he met Baylee, he too will never give her up.
