My Review:
OMG This is one book that I loved from line
one to the last page. I really Loved Chloe and all of her drama. I literally
felt so much for her , all of her drama- some of it not so good but it helped
her grow into the person she needed to be, whom she learned to love in the end.
Her parents on the other hand needed a swift kick in the you know where. Oh
where to start??!! There are so many good, great, fantastic things to say about
this story but I do not want to give any spoilers away- Spoilers sweetie!
Chloe Madison was once a rich woman whose parents had a fall
from grace which meant poor Chloe –poor in more ways than one – had to go get a
job, find a place to live and learn to live and learn who she was. She ended up
getting a job with this nutty, crazy Nicole Brantley who is a heiress. Chloe
was made to do any and every menial job Nicole could think of but Chloe did it
and learned about strength and perseverance while doing it.
In the meantime, Chloe started living her life and meeting
new people who liked Chloe for who she was which opened her eyes up to things.
One of those people who came into her life was the "maintenance
man" of her apartment building. His
name is Carter and he is such a sweetheart. There is more to him than we know
and he is there for Chloe thru all the craziness and angst she has going on. He
at first a little standoffish but he sees a glimpse of what could be and comes
back around. He sees Chloe thru all her transitions- Chloe only sees him as a
friend until one day she realizes she likes him as something more. And that day
is FANTASTIC!!
There is more in this book about her ex-boyfriend,
her boss Nicole and her love life, the job she holds and all but if I tell you
, it will reveal the story and I cant—SPOILERS!! All I can say is –THIS BOOK
ROCKS!! Chloe and her friends, Carter, they are terrific and I find this to be
one of the best books of 2016 . Chloe will grab your heart and you will
remember her after the book is over.
My rating: 5.0 stars *****
