This is a fantastic
paranormal tale that will take you in and won’t let you out of its grip due to
how good this story is.
This is Elana Spencer & Kalan Murdoch’s
story. Elana is human and she is the owner to the florist shop in
town. Suddenly her parents are murdered, their home destroyed and ransacked,
and she suddenly finds out she has a sibling pop up from nowhere, saying he is
her big brother. What is going on with her life? This independent, sweet and feisty
girl had so much thrown at her in a short period of time-I think I would have collapsed
and never got back up but not Elana . She is not a qutter which I loved about her.
Kalan is the beta for
the pack, a WereBear and the depute sheriff for the town. There was this
smell that made his bear goes insane in such a great way when his Alpha Rye was
in the hospital and he realized the smell came from his true mate . His alpha
assigned Kalen to Elana to protect her and Kalen is worried because his bear
wants his mate but Kalen doesn’t know if he is ready for change in his life.
There are many twists and
turns in this story, emotional and physical. I loved knowing that the MC worked
thru it together, trying to find out who the murderer(s) is, while at the same time determine if they want
to be with each other and if they can really be together. The angst, the
passion-oh yes, the passion and the action/adventure along with the suspense is
fantastic and it is along a paranormal theme is great. I definitely recommend
this story.
