Southern Seducer is book 1 in North Carolina Highlands series by Jessica Peterson. This is Beau and Annabel(Bel)'s story. This is a friends to lovers/2nd chance at love romance. I loved the emotions that this story brought forth and how the author addressed the medical condition (post-partum depression). Ms Peterson didn't try to hide PPD subtly in the story but she made it clear and center in the story plus Beau having his own medical problem to deal with. Beau and Bel are a great couple and had to deal with quite a few things that made their getting back together quite rocky but this is why the story flows and sizzles. I liked the twists and turns the story took. The secondary characters add to an already amazing read. I really enjoyed reading this new series and am looking forward to book 2.
