Backup Plan is Book 1 in the new Silver Ridge series from Emily Goodwin. This is Chloe and Sam's story. We met Sam Harris in the Dawson Family series for he was Archer's roommate/friend and Dean's brother-in-law. Now we get his story and the girl who got away. Chloe had crushed on Sam from the time she met him when she moved to town as a young girl. She was bullied in high school all the way through college for being different. Yet she still kept hope alive that Sam would see her and that would want to date her until that night he broke her heart. Fast forward years later, Chloe finally goes back home to Silver Ridge a successful author and knows she will have to see Sam Harris again.
Chloe remembers the pact Sam and her made years ago. She doesn't want to remember Sam but he still is in her heart and head. Suddenly now that she's back in the old homestead, Sam is popping up. Will the old pact be enforced? Will the past come between Sam and Chloe or will Sam finally get the "girl" that was always his or will his ex, Stacey come between them? The book ended on a real cliffy. I can't wait for book 2📚📚. Lots of feels, secrets, twists, chemistry, heat, angst, and emotions. Great story!
