This is book 2 in the NYC Doms series and though part of a series, it will easily read as a stand-alone. Beatrice Moore left her family and moved to NYC to be on her own and did a good job. She and Dina are best friends, and together they have formed a friendship that is strong and close-closer than family it comes across. Now they are each involved with a Dom and spend their time with their Doms at BDSM club, Verge.  Bea has some secrets that are going to be revealed but will her secrets cause her Dom boyfriend to have 2^nd thoughts?

Detective Zach Williams is a dominant that has helped out with issues at Verge, where he is also a member. He met Bea thru the club and their relationship is based on a Dom/sub relationship especially since Bea is very forgetful and  needs Zach to be her Dom, her daddy. Their relationship can seem strange but it works for them in its unique way. Bea likes to be controlled and having a cop who is a Dom has definite benefits. Having Zack escort her to her cousin’s wedding comes with its own set of issues. Bea hasn’t told Zach about her background, her past. Will Zach stick around especially once he finds out about her past? Once she is being stalked or will he find she is too much trouble? This is a steamy, sizzling read that is filled with intrigue, suspense, drama, angst, passion, and dominant alphas that kept me hooked from start to finish. I loved every moment and look forward to reading more in this series.
