The Ruthless Gentleman is about two people from completely different worlds. Hayden Wolf, sexy alpha British billionaire, charters a luxury yacht for an extended time while on a working Holiday. Avery, head stewardess on the same yacht is the consummate professional. Hayden and Avery can try to fight their connection/ attraction every step of the way, but the heart wants what the heart wants and the heart wants each other. Hayden works very hard to buy companies and then sell them off. Problem is lately his investors are getting up in arms with reason, and he soon comes to realizes something’s very wrong in his organization. So he decides for his next deal he will take himself and conduct his deal someplace where he can watch and control the deal and try to figure out who his mole is inside his organization—in order to do this, he decides to spend eight weeks on a yacht, cutting communication from the outside world; making his whereabouts unknown. What Hayden didn’t expect was to find himself aboard a yacht with the seductive yet innocent and straight laced Avery. Even though Avery is attracted to Hayden, Avery cannot look at him in a certain way or pursue him due to the strict no fraternization policy in her role. She needs this job; it’s a lifeline for more than just herself. The attraction is a slow burn between the main characters , it isn’t a flash burn but just slow and steady, building on the friendship that starts off as well as the intrigue on who is trying to cause trouble with Hayden’s company. Over time and when they do become physically intimate, the steam levels are sizzling, steaming hot. Hayden opened up to Avery, told her things he’d never told anyone except his brother. He fell, and fell hard. As did Avery so when loyalties are tested, the fallout leaves our main characters questioning the trust they placed in each other. Will Avery break her rules? Will Hayden find love with Avery? Will the mole be found out? Such a great and well written book by the fabulous Ms. Bay. There are many twists and turns that kept me hooked from start to finish. You will love the fresh energy and chemistry between the main characters. I do hope Hayden’s brother gets his own story.
