FORBID ME Review ***

Lily Ryder has been known as kid for being the youngest in their group of friends. She always feels like she doesn’t belong and that she is treated like a kid, she wants to feel like she truly belongs to the group and to catch the eye of someone special in their group, for he has always had her eye and her heart since she has joined their group.
Jacob Foster is the oldest of their group of friends and he is used to taking care of everyone. But when it comes to Lily, who he has known since birth, he cannot help the attraction and the desire he feels for her and year by year, it is a struggle to contain the desire for her. Only the true respect he feels for her brother and their friends, does he continue to hold true to his feelings and continue to resist his desires for Lilly and he pushes her away but when he does this, he does it in not to hurt her but it does anyway. The story is told in both Lily and Jacob’s POV and we get to see how their feeling as the story is going on.  Lily has been in love with Jacob and wants desperately for him to “SEE” her and for him to finally realize that she is ready for him, that she is “grown up” for him, for everything he is and for all that he can and they are to each other . There were a lot of ups and downs  -It was brilliant to watch as Jacob came to see that Lily was finally an adult and  was “single and ready to mingle” as the saying goes. Jacob ran for so long on his feelings, now as the story goes on, we , as the reader, get to see the pain Jacob is in from his decisions and then we see how finally Jacob came to the decision for Jacob to finally give into his feelings for Lily . There are so many emotional twists and turns in this story that keep the reader on the edge of their seat. I loved Jacob and Lily- they are such a great couple. Jacob  is such a standup guy who has such heart, that you fall instantly in love with him; Lily is a sweetheart. She is overlooked by the group of friends, except for Jacob and she is a sassy girl who speaks her mind yet she is so shy.
I cannot say enough good things about this book. The Best friend’s sister storyline is so good- The author M Robinson has a hit here and I CANNOT wait to read the next book from her. The writing was fresh, seductive and sharp. You will not go wrong with this story.
