This is book 3 in the "Arrogant"
series. This is Odessa and
Beckham’s story. We met them briefly in Dane's story and I knew
then their story would be explosive and I was right. Beckham is a playboy, has
a different woman every time he turns around and doesn’t like grass grow under
his feet. When Odessa comes into his life one night, she was a one night
stand and she ends up rejecting him after a super-hot night of sex. Well, for
Mister Playboy , that was an ego hurt.
For Odessa, she was going thru some personal problems and didn’t expect
to see Beckham again but sure enough she did- they end up working together. Beckham is determined to show Odessa
who is boss in the relationship and Odessa is determined to prove that
she really has all the power. LOL It is wonderful to read the interaction. Odessa
is conflicted because she has feelings for Beckham and she has a maybe still fiancée
–I say maybe because they really haven’t been together for a while and she is
going thru the motions of the stressors of what he has put her thru which is
how Beck and Odessa got together on their first night to begin with. Odessa
is a wonderful blend of toughness, sweetness, sassy, and bit of I don’t give a
%u*k attitude that made her so likeable. Her and Dane’s relationship of love
wasn’t instant ; no but it was slow and it was hot and oh so yummy. Their
journey to their HEA had a bumpy road was what made this such a great story.
Beck was such an alpha male- there was so many layers to him and when you start
peeling back his layers- he may come off as a light hearted man but no, he ‘s
raw , hard, unyielding . There are some surprises and some twists and turns ; Odessa
and Beck’s love story is one of the best I have by this author. I do not want
to get too far into the story because I would be giving away spoilers but all I
can say is that this is such a great story, that you would enjoy any and all of
this author’s books.
