This is the 2nd book in the Caldwell brothers series. This is Morrison and Hailey’s story.
Morrison Caldwell is one hot, hunky , sexy gambler who takes care of his people he considers his own. His life has been pretty rough and he doesn’t even know what family life looks like. Hailey herself hasn’t had an easy life and has to struggle for every little thing. Things done to her were horrible and now she has a daughter she is trying to support. When she meets Morrison, she has just escaped her EX Husband and is trying to escape and get away where he cannot get to them and she is trying to make money to pay her ex back for everything so that way he cannot come back to her and take her daughter.
Morrison slowly but surely gains Hailey’s trust by not being an in your face ALPHA male. He sees what has been missing from his life which was home and hearth. He realizes the plastic dolls and the material things aren’t it but the true woman in his face, Hailey and her daughter are it. He realizes it is a long shot , especially after all she has gone thru but the chemistry between them is something that you cannot miss.
This is a great story and I loved watching an alpha , and do not mistake the fact even though he wasn’t in her face with it, Morrison is, watching an Alpha fall in love. This is a great addition to the series and I cannot wait for book 3.
