My Review:

RAPTURE & RUIN is book 1 in Rapture and Ruin series by Julia Sykes. This is Max Ferrara and Alexandra " Allie" Fitzgerald's story. The story begins with Italian mafia hot guy Max kidnapping Allie, the daughter of NYC mayor. He's out for revenge while Allie is truly innocent and is unaware of her father's unclean dealings with the mob, the bratva. Out of this kidnapping comes a slowburn romance that's sure to set the pulses racing while at the same time, figure out what is actually the truth regarding past and current. Everything is riding on the outcome. Allie and Max start to seek the truth while trying to not get killed. A story thats full of intense rollercoaster ride of emotional turmoil, intrigue, danger, suspense, secrets, heartbreak, anger, compassion, twists & turns that make for such an phenomenal  read. Story does end on a cliffhanger. Looking forward to book 2 in this new series.
