MARRYING MY BILLIONAIRE HOOKUP by Nadia Lee is romcom gold! This is Edgar and Jo's story. These are two characters who , previously, were only secondary characters in past books yet star front and center now. It's great seeing them as main characters and getting to learn more about them. Edgar is viewed as this super responsible, emotionless, and staid man. Well, that's not really the case. You really need to read this book! Jo is this sassy , loving, emotional person who wants the kind of relationship that her parents have- one that is real and can stand up against anything.
Edgar and Jo have this one night stand and Jo ends up pregnant. Jo doesn't want Edgar to be with her because of the pregnancy. She doesn't want to become a "duty of care". Edgar doesn't want a relationship with Jo or want to have this baby but because there's a baby coming, he wants to do "the right thing" and marry Jo. He doesn't want to live together but he's willing to fly back and forth for some bedroom time with Jo and to see his child. What makes Edgar not want to try to be in a relationship and try to be a dad ?
I felt so bad for Edgar because I remembered who his parents are. They really did a number on him. Jo's family are great and showed him how a family really is meant to be. This book has everything you need- accidental pregnancy, angst, drama, passion, rollercoaster emotions, feels, secrets, twists, red-hot chemistry, humorous banter, romance, and HEA.
