Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.
Savannah
I’m the one who broke up the golden couple. The woman people still whisper about, point at, and give dirty looks to.
Did I sleep with the prom king? No. Did I sleep with the town's golden boy on vacation from college? Yes.
Did I believe that he was going to marry me? Wholeheartedly.
Did he? Not even close. He got engaged right in front of me and then his father threw two hundred dollars at me and told me to take the trash out.
So, I raised my son in a town where people love him because they think that his father is the sheriff.
It was going great, everything was working out till my lie got out.
Beau
I was getting ready to take over the mayoral office from my father, who was my hero.
Until I heard the secret he hoped would stay buried forever.
My brother has a son, not just any son but a son with the woman who was my best friend.
The woman I secretly have loved from the moment she stood up to me and broke my nose in kindergarten.
I need to protect her and in order to do that, we need to get married.
Too bad her nightmare is my dream come true.
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals.
You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips.

My Review:
Southern Storm is book 3 in the Southern series by Natasha Madison. This is Savannah and Beau's story.
We were introduced to Savannah in book 1 and I totally disliked her in that book but she is redeemed here. She's from the wrong side of town, has a terrible mother and her story will pull at your heartstrings.
Beau was her friend from childhood and he is secretly in love with her. Savannah has been in love with Beau and she thought he didn't feel the same way about her that she felt about him. In this book, the truth comes out about who really fathered Savannah's child and Beau feels betrayed.
By Savannah, his best friend and his family...and he takes his anger out on the wrong person(s). The story really blossoms from there. We get to see how badly Savannah has always been treated and how hard she works to be liked; how she really is a good person, mother and friend. My heart broke for all she endured. The emotional rollercoaster ride that goes on will have the reader invested in Savannah and Beau's story. Beau is a good man who learned to be there finally for whose right. There is a great suspense angle to the story along with the romance aspect too. I found this book one of my favorites of the series. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
My Rating: 4.7 stars ********
