This is book 2 in the
modern fairytales series. This book is all about Alicia Forkes and Prince Leo and their 2nd chance
relationship.
Sometime previously in their
relationship, Alicia and Leo had some breakdown of communication –Alicia thought
Leo did something so horrible, she really thought he betrayed their love. She
left their relationship behind and tried to move on but never really had a real
relationship again for some time.
Because of this, a good friend of Alicia realizes that due to some rough
times she has gone through, she needs to come up with things she wants to
succeed in, a so called “bucket ‘ list and knock them which will maybe turn her
luck and life around for the better.
This takes Alicia out of her known places and makes her do some wild and
nutty things and would you believe it, puts her back in the realm of the person
who put her in such hurt “ Prince Leo”.
Prince Leo is the man she
lost her heart to years ago, a man she believes betrayed her. Now he is back
and ready to claim his love. To settle the wrongs done. The way he goes about getting her attention
and things he does to get her back into his life is short of hot and exciting.
Well and very sweet too. Alicia will not see it that way but that is where the
twists and turns in this story come in to play. This is a great and emotional 2nd
chance romance that has chemistry, a fairy godmother or two, love and oh a villain
that is sure to keep you on your toes in this quest for everlasting love. Alicia is a strong heroine who just needed to
see love was really love and that everything she did believe in was never
false; while Prince Leo had a bit of an ego, he was a truly good guy who fell
for Alicia as she did him. This was a great summer read and I cannot wait for
book 3 in this series.
