Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That’s why God created central air, after all. Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy–she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says. In addition to being a wife and mom, she’s also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books–romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it’s a passion…there’s a difference. Not that she’d expect a boy to understand. Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.Facebook | Website | Twitter | Pinterest | Instagram | Amazon | Goodreads

My Review:
Bombshell is Book 1 of the new series by Jessica Prince. It is "Whiskey Dolls Series" and is a spin-off of the Hope Valley Series. It is still set in Hope Valley (fantastic!) and some of the characters from HV cross over into the new series and make appearances!! Ok, so book 1 is about Marin and Pierce. Marin is a Whiskey Doll and her last relationship ended badly- her ex, Frank is brothers with Pierce. Anyway, Frank hurt Marin badly and she hasn't dated since. Marin did meet Pierce once and there was this instant chemistry between them yet nothing could happen between them because of her dating his brother. Yet he also treated her horribly when she had done nothing wrong. Pierce was attracted to her but hated his brother which meant his hate rolled over to her. He held this open contempt for her. It was this lust/hate thing going. Now his little boy, Eli loved Marin and Marin was so good with his son. Fast forward to the present and these two run into each other again. Marin is no longer with Frank and Pierce is still that jerk but after several encounters, the thaw starts melting on his side. Marin didn't do anything wrong. We start to see Pierce see Marin for the incredible woman she is and the journey that they've been on starts to smooth out. The reasons behind the bad times become clear and the sparks become sizzling heat that just cannot be controlled 🔥♥. The chemistry and connection that Marin and Pierce have is beautiful and heartwarming. The journey these two take is very hard , rough, painful at times, but in the end the love, joy, happiness, and HEA out of it is phenomenal. Great characters, good plot, steamy passion, and amazing start to new series!!
My Rating: 4.8 stars **********
