What an awesome and amazing story- T.N. Lowe outdid herself with "Secret Revenge" which is book 2 in her Secret and Lies series.
This is Lena Miller and Patrick Love's story and boy, is it a killer of one, pardon my pun. Lena lost her mother recently, and is working hard at her job which is at the local resort with regular problems when said local resort which ends up suddenly sold to a huge company. The new owner, Patrick Love, seems so familiar to Lena although she could swear they've never met before; they meet and they have this instant connection and insane chemistry between them. She tries to keep things between them as employer- employee, then just as friends but they only lasted for like a split second because Hello Chemistry!!. Suddenly however, accidents start happening to Lena right and left , or are they accidents? Boom, thats when the story heats up and the twists coming right and left in this story. I thought I just knew what I thought was going to happen but oh no, BAM! Another twist reaches around and punches me in the face;thats how this story rolls. This was amazing and extremely exciting. These characters were people who had their lives changed on a dime or changed someone's life. I loved the plot, the scenery and the flow of the pace. Obviously with that many twists, turns and crazy going ons , the secondary characters were all in my suspicions, but I'll let you be your own judges as for who the baddie(s) is. No Spoilers here. Anyhoo , this was an intense rollercoaster read with exhilarating excitement that goes all the way to the last page. I can't wait for book 3 in this series.
