Already Home by Mayra Statham My rating: 5 of 5 stars I read The Meat Market Anthology and remember thinking that I would love to see Almost Home as a full read, not a quick , short novella. Well here it is… and wow, what an amazing read it is!!!! Jason and Rocia make a great friends to lovers couple. They have been friends since high school and here they are now at 40- neither married and both at crossroads in their lives. This is such a heartwarming, steamy, feelgood romance that hits all the FEELS in the right place. I loved reading about how they always wanted to push the envelope of their friendship into the more category but were afraid to… now they take a risk to see what would happen and wow, what a great emotional, impacting story this makes. There are ups and downs but what makes this so good is that they are together, working things out, not apart. This is the brand new start to a steamy, red-hot and sizzling new series that features insta-love. Told in dual POV with HEA. King Hayden is most alpha like in this book with how he goes about claiming his princess and handles business. Princess Callie is sweet, innocent and yet there is a sassiness to her that I loved. She didn’t know if she was coming or going at first when it came to Hayden but that was part of his charm and attraction. I don’t want to give the plot away , just know this is one smoking and intense romance read that gave one awesome HEA for this couple and hinted at who the next couple will be for the next book. Ms. Faye is an auto buy –I will buy anything she writes, even her grocery list, for I know it will be a killer (smile). This is a MUST READ!!!! My Rating: 4.8 stars *...
