This is an emotional journey that will have you crying and cheering on Josh and Ember. This book is about their relationship and how long distance relationship put a strain on them then immediately after Josh graduates Flight school, then off Josh’s second deployment in Afghanistan. Ember is stressed and worried about his being in the middle of war . When Josh came back, he was dealing with PTSD and he pushed Ember away.  There was times I didn’t think they would make it together. I worried because no matter what, Ember was always there for Josh and he took her for granted but they hung in together and the ending was good. I think I would have rated it higher but Josh was a bit of a douche which kept my rating down. My Rating: 4.0 stars **** *A gifted copy was provided by the publisher for my honest review*

 This is such a story that will have you held in suspense, in disbelief and will also be rooting for the antihero to find love even though all the bad he has done. There is so many levels of sin to wade thru, its as though you think you will never come out and know up from down and that is ok, I liked it. This was such a dark and compelling read. I literally had tears pouring down my face as I read Marcus and Ava   ‘s story.  Marcus has this dark vibe and he gets his point across that he will get broken and sweet slave Ava. Ava , who knowns no other life as but a slave, is taken to Marcus and there she is left. Poor thing about had a mental breakdown because she didn’t know why she was left with Marcus after her last master about beat her to death yet she was willing to stay with him because she knew  him and didn’t know Marcus.
