Pieces of Us is book 1 in the Second Chance Sinners duet by Claudia Burgoa. This is Zeke and Ethan's story. Wow! What a story it is!! This is a M/M friends to lovers emotional angsty romance read so get the tissues ready. Ethan and Zeke have heartache and heartbreak in both their pasts so it's something that they are quite familiar with. When they meet the families of Hades and Colthurst-Decker, they finally find out what it's like to have a sense of peace, kindness, happiness, safeness, and what's it like to have family ; a home. Yet Zeke and Ethan are wary around one another. It takes a little bit before soon they are open to one another. Soon they are forming bonds that go beyond writing music 🎶, and being there for Tucker , Rocco and Hannah. They have a secret that no one knows but them. It affects the balance of everything. Without giving much away, Ethan isn't willing to be public with his feelings like Zeke which caused Zeke to leave. There's so much heartbreak, angst, secrets, twists, drama, passion, pain, feels, grief, anger, hope, and love. The author really expressess the characters thoughts and feelings. It does end on a cliffhanger and what a cliffhanger it was, too! OMG!! I can't wait to see what happens in book 2.
