My Review:

Requiem of the Soul is book 1 in  The Society Trilogy by Natasha Knight & A. Zavarelli. Be prepared for the dark,  angsty,  savage,  wickedly intense,  twisted,  steamy and intense mafia romance that this story brings. It's an arranged marriage/revenge story that's not for the faint of heart. Revenge is the name of game and Santiago De La Rosa uses whatever means necessary,  including  his own legacy as head of his family, and take up the position within the IVI Society because the past saw the explosion kill his father and brother plus damage his face with scars. So that has turned Santiago into this ruthless,  vengeful,  monster out for revenge of the worst kind... marrying the daughter of his enemy, Ivy Moreno. Ivy is a good girl whose forced into a marriage that she didn't want. She's being forced into it and taking abuse from all sides. Ivy tries to play the game but how can she when she doesn't even know what's going on. Then Santiago starts giving her mixed messages- one minute he's cold and mean to her, the next, he's hot and steamy towards her. Ivy doesn't know what to think and her body is on meltdown mode. Then there's Santiago's sister who has an axe to grind but nothing to show. She's evil and cruel towards Ivy. The story moves at rapid pace and many twists and turns going on. Book 1 ended on a cliffhanger. Will Santiago realize Ivy is innocent? Is Santiago going to realize that the threat is closer to home? Will Santiago and Ivy get their HEA? I'm very excited for book 2!
