My Review:
Absolute Power is book 1 of the Absolute Power Duet by Jeana E. Mann. This is Jagger and Cash's story. Jagger is a woman who is trying to live her life quietly. Trying to run from her past and all mistakes that her made..which was working until her sister's powerful and dangerous ex boyfriend walks into her store. He wants the $ 200,000 that she stole from him. Now he wants his money back or else Jagger will be the one to pay and it won't be pretty. Even though Cash is super threatening and quite the bad guy, they have this instant chemistry between them. The sexual sizzle is off the charts hot 🔥. I felt for Jagger because she was just trying to live her life and move on from what happened but Cash won't let her and then is quite threatening, demanding . Money or else... the twists and turns in this story will have the reader on the edge of their seat. The cliffhanger had me literally dead!! I couldn't believe it. I can't wait for book 2 because I have to find out what happens. My Rating: 4.5 stars ********

Star is this superstar singer who has this extra something else that she hides to keep herself safe. Lachlan is an ancient dragon alpha shifter whose come out of this 1000 year hibernation. He’s also this Alpha Laird of a clan of dragons from Scotland.
Theirs is a story full of feels, danger, action, paranormal romance, magic, intrigue, drama, adventure and more. Star and Lachlan have this great chemistry. Without giving any spoilers away, this book is a great 1st book in a new series. I can't wait for more in this exciting new series.

Hostile Territory by Marie James is book 1 in the Blackbridge Security series. This is Deacon Black and Annalise Grimaldi’s story. Deacon is former military and now owner of Blackbridge Security and and Consulting. 8 years ago, his marriage to his wife Dani ended in a courtroom. Fast forward to 8 years later, he gets a call from Dani's BFF Annalise and all she says is "It's Dani". Deacon and Annalise never got along- at all. So for Annalise to call him, he knew something had to be up. When Annalise showed up, there was this instant chemistry between them. Yet, Dani was missing and things are more complex than Deacon and Annalise thought. This is a full-length, suspense/intrigue romance that is simply phenomenal because this is such an absolute phenomenal enemies-to-lovers romance read. Add in the danger, suspense, passion, angst, drama, heat, feels, heart, intrigue, action and romance. I loved Deacon and Annalise together. Their banter and chemistry together was good. I can't wait for book 2. My Rating: 4.5 stars *********

In this story, Cal comes off as this nasty, rude, jerk, ...determined to make Charlotte pay for her sins- some real, many imagined. He's deep down a good guy who protrays himself as a bad guy. He is super loyal to his friends and he loves playing/walking on the dark side.
I didn't think that I would like Charlotte but, I really did!! She was a survivor- she had been in an abusive relationship and her ex, Ryan was controlled her. He drugged her and caused the accident that put a Hoodlum in a coma which leaves Charlotte in despair and shattered. It's from this we see in the story, her overcoming her odds and building herself back up...and her and Cal's relationship. It's a push/pull type of one. Oh my, I love it. There's twists and turns that will shock and that had me on the edge of my seat but yea, this was my favorite Hoodlum book 📖 by far, to date!! K Webster keeps writing ✍ these addictive stories that have the feels, angst, drama, danger, suspense, passion, taboo, steamy romances, and heart ❤ that keep bringing the readers captivated.
