The Ruthless Knight by Jeane E.Mann is not your typical royal romance. It's quite the twist on royal romance and I loved it!! It is dark, intense, forbidden, steamy, tempestuous, sexy, hot , a bit kinky, with mystery and suspense with danger thrown on top. Nicky, who we met in The Exiled Prince trilogy and The Rebel Queen duet now has his own book and is the main character-- ends up colliding/forced into meeting Calliope at a party. Their chemistry is sizzling and hot. Before they can really get to Know each other outside of the party, Calliope disappears and Nicky finds himself looking for her. Soon terrible things happen that are orchestrated by a despicable human being. What you read is the journey that two people go through, the feels, romance, drama, angst , twists, pain, torture , torment, depravity and manipulation-yet thru all this forgiveness and love is found and a bond is forged, family love is stronger and a new love comes out of the ashes. My Rating: 4.5 stars *******
