Dead of Night by Emily Goodwin is bk 1 in her new series " The Thorne Hill" series. You have Lucas and Callie's paranormal love story. Lucas is a old yet still young and handsome looking vampire , one full of power and mystique, one whose immediately attracted to Callie. Callie is a beautiful and intelligent witch that is working to solve all the deaths of her fellow witches. Callie first thinks this Lucas fellow is the culprit but soon she is feeling all sorts of forbidden feelings for Lucas that is going against what she is investigating him for. These two soon become this paranormal dream team thats trying to figure out whose killing witches while fighting the attraction that is sizzling all around them. The passion, the chemistry, the feels, the magic, the action, twists,turns, the drama and angst is amplified in the newest book by Emily Goodwin. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. Loved every moment of the story and can't wait for the next book in this new series.
