What a great follow up to book Impulse—In this book, we get to see Lex and Jillian and their great love story. They are dealing with planning their impending wedding, Jillian’s newfound grandmother, her having to deal with the paparazzi on the site of her job and many other issues cropping up but as always they deal with it together.
In this book there is adventure, intrigue, danger, romance and erotically steamy scenes between Lex and Jillian that is fantastic. In this book, there are secrets that Lex has been hiding from his past that are coming out from the woodwork and are affecting his upcoming wedding. There is serious danger coming at the couple that means them harm-is it from Lex or Jillian’s side? Will the wedding take place or will the evil win? Well, not if their friends and family have anything to say about it. Let me say, Lex’s Infinitus buddies are ready to take action to keep Lex and Jillian safe and sound. All I can say, I would love to have them keep me safe from harm. I can’t wait for Lex’s Infinitus Billionaires boys to have their books come out. They all sound like they have great stories that need to be told.
Lex and Jillian give off this great blend of chemistry, internal heat and the love scenes are panty melting fantastic. I will say there are times when I was screaming at my kindle and other times when I was crying because of how wonderful Lex was to Jillian or Jillian was to Lex. This couple went thru some major storms and storms they were. Loved how they handled it and it was great to see previous secondary characters in this book, for it was great catching up with them and seeing how they are doing. There are some twists along the way and the ending, it was something I did NOT see coming. Be prepared to be amazed and surprised. #TEAMJEX all the way.

My ARC Review of Worthy of Love? by J LEA
This is a beautifully written story about a young woman who has had a rough life so far. She wonders will life ever get any better when life takes a turn for the unexpected and walks in the man of her dreams.
Lori is in her last year of high school; Her mother, and younger brother and her have moved to a new town to get away from the past and start anew to help Lori with giving her a new start. The book goes back and forth showing Lori when she was younger in time when things were good and right when things started going bad in her life to current place in the book. Lori has such bad feelings about herself-she thinks she is unlovable and undeserving of happiness and love i.e having a boyfriend, being in a relationship , being loved by her family, just even having friends.
Lori’s life changes when she meets Parker on her way to a speed dating event when he stops to help her change her tire after it blows and she thinks that was the last time she will ever see him but, no, she runs into him again later that night at the speed dating event and they hit it off. In Lori’s world, this is big news because she has never really wanted to let a guy into her world and get close to her and Parker is someone she feels comfortable with and feels at ease with. With Lori, this is cause to celebrate for she doesn’t ever get like this and for her to want to have feelings, it is a good thing.
Parker is a good guy and he too felt something very strong for Lori. There relationship was wonderful and everyone was going along great until he suddenly-BOOM the unthinkable happened- Lori and Parker were no more. Their relationship could no longer be because of his job-Lori kept secrets which was her age (18) and that she was in HS and those secrets impacted their relationship. It would have helped if Parker had mentioned what he did for a living too but because of secrets, that hurt their relationship. I had to keep a box of tissues by me as I read this book. Watching as their relationship imploded hurt because Lori was so heartbroken and Parker was like a man with a dozen root canals done-he was unbearable to be around-super grumpy and nasty at times to Lori. It was sad to see how they wanted to be together but couldn’t. The secondary cast of characters were good, especially Elias, Lori’s best friend. The humor in this book was wonderful and kept us, the reader in good spirits when there was sadness and at times we thought the MC wouldn’t make it. In the end, Parker wised up and realized what he had was worth fighting for and went for Lori with all that he had. Lori realized she needed to let Parker in, and let him in on her secrets , her pain, her everything. They embraced each other’s’ past and present and it was beautiful.
I was so glad to see the journey the MC took because it was beautiful journey. I enjoyed reading this story, even the not so pretty parts; I cried and laughed and just devoured this book. I was sad when it ended but the wonderful epilogue was fantastic. Parker and Lori made a perfect couple and their story was great. This story does feature a teacher/student relationship BUT it was not written in a nasty way. It was beautifully written and the author made this story very real and handled the topic in a sensitive way.

My ARC Review of ARROGANT BASTARD by Winter Renshaw
This isn’t your normal step brother romance. It is such a yummy turn on your nose step brother romance that was really an emotional story to read and I found myself rooting for the MC- Jensen and Waverly in this story. In fact, Jensen and Waverly are not even related in any way- his mother married her father so they are only related by marriage.
The book begins with Jensen suffering a horrible beating by his abusive preacher father. CPS took him away to live with his mother until he can finish out his senior year of high school and then he plans to move to LA to study tattooing but his plans change when he sees his step-sister by marriage, Waverly. His mother is in a polygamous relationship and is the 3rd wife. He goes from one twisted household to another where the step father is waited on hand and foot and he has a strict set of rules. Jensen doesn’t like how the females are treated and he tries to change things and he is opposed by his step- father. Jensen realizes he just needs to keep on everyone’s good side until he can graduate High School and move to L.A. in August where his tattoo dreams can come true because he has an apprenticeship job open. Which is slowly not happening because of the chemistry between him and Waverly.
Waverly is the one who doesn’t like how her father treats her daughters. She tries to talk to her sister Bellamy about how she feels but Bellamy acts like her father is God and correct in all things. Then her father’s 3rd wife’s son arrives and he just uses her as his target for some reason. She can’t figure it out when she tries to be his friend. But suddenly they connect and the chemistry is there and before long the Jensen is teaching Waverly it’s better to rebel than to be good all the time. Waverly realizes nothing she does it ever going to be good enough for her father and she sees her father doesn’t value her nor his wives or the females. Jensen and Waverly go about doing for themselves all the things kids their age should be doing-instead of letting worry get to them, they do for themselves and woe be to others. Only concern they do have is if Bellamy will out them to her father because she is daddy’s little girl. Soon their fantastic doings (read the book,) do get back and it spells trouble for the lovers and Waverly’s father has ominous plans to split the lovers apart but someone who I didn’t see to stop the plan stepped in and saved the lovebirds.
Reading this book really was at times emotional and you felt for the MC. I was rooting for them and hoping that they would be together in the end. I couldn’t understand how the wives stayed with the father- the author has a way with her writing and she really has a way with getting you to invest and feel her characters’ pain. The ending is great and it opens to what is book 2 in the Arrogant series.

my ARC of Property of the Bad Boy by Vanessa Waltz
This book is set in the world that the book Married to the Bad Boy is in.
We meet Jack and he is drunk as the book starts when he is drunk. He is going thru a rough period and he is drunk and in a rough place in regards to his brother’s murder. He is in a bar looking for women to sleep with. He looks for women to sleep with, to take away his pain, when he meets Beatrice- she is sweet-she is innocent and she pushes all of his buttons. The sex is intense and he has to push he out of his life. He hated to do it but that is his life.
Jack is forced to marry a girl-a MC biker –to give him an alibi and to keep the peace in the mafia family and the police off all involved for the jewel heist /murder. Jack just wants his brother’s murderer to find peace. When Jack is summoned to pick the girl he is to” marry” he finds Bea, the girl he met from the club the other night.
Beatrice is young, yearns to be loved, is fiery – She sees Jack and something about him calls to her. She feels the lure of him and felt bad for misleading him when they initially met. But from the moment after that, everything was on the level and she met him toe to toe.
Their meeting and getting together changed their lives and the course of things in the MC bikers and Mafia. There are many twists and turns in this story. OMG the zings that go flying-too funny. Bea is a force to be reckoned with. You think Bea is supposedly so tough , because she grew up with the MC all her life…but think again. There is a hidden depth to her, a fragility. Jack is in deep pain over his brother’s death and he is hurting so bad that he is going about trying to kill anyone he thinks did the murder, beating all and taking names last. I loved how Jack was so blasé about how he was just going to kill his brother’s murderer even If it meant making the “boss” mad. The humor in this book in times of darkness was like a bright light is a mark the author having a deft hand , a true craft when writing and she has a knack. This is a great story and I love her Mafia/MC stories; this is another great story. Jack and Bea have had a rough time but their coming together, even being made to ends up being the best thing because they need each other.I want to say so much but I do not want to give away spoilers—Just know Jack needs to save his wife and unborn baby before its too late. Does he or doesn’t he? The ending is the best. The author does it again and the twist was one I didn’t see coming. Kudos to the author for another great story in this series.

My Review of Ravenswood: Price's Freedom by Mandy M Roth
This is almost like a Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf story but with a twist. Laura Winfield is the newest member for Team Light and she is sent to the town of Ravenswood to gather information and see what she can find out on the darkness that is gathering there and to see how deeply the town has gone bad/dark. Within a short period of time of getting off the bus, Laura runs into Benjamin Price who happened to have saved Laura’s life a few years ago from a demon attack. Everyone told her then he was evil and was bad, but Laura isn’t so sure.
Ben has been searching for his lil Red since he saved her life several years ago. He knew it was for the best they went their separate ways but his wolf wanted her and now that she is in town, he isn’t going to be separated from her again. His wolf is clamoring to claim her as mate while the rational side of him is horrified that she is in town and could be at risk. Now that the town is at risk with since the Dark has made Ravenswood its playground for the Devil. Ben is the head of the Devil’s army and Laura is putting a kink in his plans but he doesn’t want her harmed in any way but what can he do to his mate? This is a battle of good vs. evil and this story will show us who the winner ultimately is.
Ben and Laura had such chemistry and the humor is so funny. I love watching how Ben is trying to keep showing how bad he is but he is brought down by Laura aka Lil Red. Epic; There are problems in their relationship but how they worked thru it shows the author not padding the story then throwing the story out which was appreciated. The MC had depth and the chemistry was fantastic. I Would love to see a follow-up involving this world and other characters.

my ARC Review of The Taming of the Billionaire by JESSICA CLAIRE
This was a sweet and funny Billionaires and
Bridesmaids book. The MC in this book are Edie and
Magnus. Edie is one of Gretchen’s oldest and dearest friends. (Gretchen is from Beauty and the
Billionaire-book 2). Magnus is this tech billionaire who is way
Hawt and Sexy. Edie meets Magnus at Gretchen’s pre wedding dinner party where
Magnus was a TOTAL jerk. He , Levi and Asher made some pretty jerky comments
which Edie overheard and it fired her up and she was able to take her slight revenge
later at the dinner. Edie does not like Magnus nor does he like her at this
time in the book. We come to see Edie has an injury to her knee which happened
5 years prior and it prevents her from walking well. Her sister Bianca tagged
along to this event and ended up ensnaring Magnus’s younger brother Levi’s
heart in her trap.
As we read , we see that Edie
is a feline behaviorist aka bonafide
cat lady. Remember that, it’s important. Magnus was so cocky and thought
he knew everything about cats and “cat ladies”. That is going to come back to
bite him. Edie and Magnus did not get along in ANY SHAPE of imagination.
She left the party thinking he thought horrible things about her while Magnus
to Levi she was “cute”. Levi wants to see Bianca, states he is in “love” with
her and needs Magnus’s help to keep Edie bust while he gets to know Bianca
better. Magnus knows this is going to be hard since he gave Edie a rather rough
time at the party and Levi was quite the jerk as well. What can he do that
would win over Edie and get her to take him seriously? Edie let it be known he
was “an arrogant billionaire. Levi’s plan is for MAGNUS to adopt a cat with a mental
issue or two which requires Edie to come and help him.

MY ARC Review of OVER THE TOP By Rebecca Rebecca Zanetti
This was such a great story. I have been eagerly awaiting Dawn and Hawk’s story for a while now and it did not disappoint.
Dawn Freeze is an independent woman, who is the little sister of the Freeze brothers. She is in love with Hawk Rain and has been for years. Hawk Rain is the Freeze brothers’ friend and he has been attracted to Dawn for years but because of his friendship with her brothers he doesn’t act on that attraction.
The whole town knows how she feels about Hawk . Then one night as Hawk is back in town visiting and making up his mind if he is going to return home or go back to his other life fighting crime, then they have this hot as all get night together-which was brought after a little car accident and some sweet old ladies. (You have to read it to understand but it was sweet). Hawk and Dawn have this instant chemistry and the attraction is so intense, you can tell the feelings are immediately there. They finally give in and WOW! It was magic! I was blow away and felt so good for them both but something happened and Hawk receives a call he never expected. A criminal that he put away years ago has gotten out and is making a beeline toward Hawk and that puts Dawn in danger. So he has to leave to protect Dawn and keep everyone he loves safe. This hurts Dawn completely and leaves her feeling like he never really cared. You can read and see that she feels if he stayed, if they stood together, they could take care of these themselves. We get to see Alpha Hawk and Fiery Dawn-Fireworks People, Fireworks!!!
From here on out, there are twists and turns in this story. There is another guy who is interested in Dawn and he is interested in coming forward if Hawk is not going to stick around. Also there is danger where you least expect it coming for them. The ending is wonderful and we get to visit with the characters from the other books and see how they are doing. Overall this is a fantastic story. I loved how it played out. The only thing I would have loved would have been an epilogue that showed how the MC are doing several months to a year in the future. Other than that, this was a totally rockin story, I would completely recommend this book and the others to any and all I could and I cannot wait to read more from this author.

MY ARC Review of Untouchable by Cindy Skaggs
This has action, suspense, mob bosses and really hot romance all rolled into one book. It sounded like a good book from the beginning but mid way thru the book it begins to tire and it lose steam. But the ending was good.
Sofia Capri left the mob about 2 years ago to save herself and her little boy. She was given a divorce which is totally, completely unreal and unknown to happen when” in the mob”. She knew her ex-husband was no good and was going to get them all killed or drag them all down and get them harmed while he climbed up the mob boss chain. She is continually followed and harassed by the Feds and the “bodyguard” her ex has paid to keep tabs on her. Sofia’s home is bugged; her life is life living under a looking glass with people always monitoring her every move- that is the Feds and the mob. Finally Sofia has had enough and decides to secretly break away and make a run for it. Her plans are found out and her son is kidnapped. Sofia has no choice but to go to Logan Stone, the undercover FBI guy who have been keeping watch on her and beg for his help. He ends up helping her and the majority of the book shows how they fought the mob to get her son back and their rising attraction and how they got her son back. Sofia at times pushed Nick away when he was trying to get closer –it wasn’t that she didn’t want him close, it was the fear of letting him get too close and the Mob would kill him and she would lose someone she had come to love. I think another fear she had that he was using her to get to her ex-husband mobster Nick Capri and his mob buddies. All she wanted was her little boy back.
Overall, this started out great, the middle was somewhat ok and toward the end and ending fantastic! I did like the MC and I understand there is a book 2 on the way so yes, I would be willing to read book 2. Sofia had a fire in her that was wonderful to see and yes, she came off a cold as ice but inside she had this fire inside to get to her son. Logan was the ALPHA male, Mister by the Rule book but Sofia asked him to help her and not tell the FBI, he threw the rules aside and dogged the FBI for once. Wow! Loved it and cannot wait to see what happens in book 2. I do hope we can revisit Sofia and Logan in book2 to see how they are doing.

My ARC REVIEW OF His Captive, Book 2: Billionaire Dark Romance by Meg Watson
In the last book, we last saw Jolie with Rafe and she was in peril not realizing that Rafe meant her harm. She was done in by the drugs her “friend” pushed on her. In book 2, Jolie is in danger, being held captive by Bronson and Rafe. In the beginning think she is Rachel and they are after her to tell them her friend is and when she wont do it, they keep her pretty much sedated. But this is a dark book..when she finally admits to be Jolie to Bronson, something happened between the two, he starts beating on her over a use of a woman’s name. Jolie doesn’t know what is going on except she needs to get away and get to Rafe.
Rafe is out to use Jolie any way he can and in this book, Rafe doesn’t come off as a nice guy. He comes off as a dark, dominant and slightly off Alpha Male in this book. There is something so possessive about him when it comes to Jolie yet there is this thread of violence underneath him when he is asking about Rachel. He is determined to find her and cause her some horrible grief due to what she did to him or someone close to him. Im thinking Rachel set Jolie up to be a fall “girl”. As for Jolie, my heart broke for her in this book. She was beaten by Bronson, she was drugged multiple times, she didn’t know what happened to her while she was asleep and no one would tell her why she was being held against her will.
The was a cliffhanger ending and I am dying to know who Rafe had in the other room and what he was going to do to Jolie..ARGH, cant wait a week to find out. Need to know now !! This story line has me hooked. I sure hope this Rachel gets what is coming to her and soon.

MY ARC Review of Masquerading with the CEO by Dawn Chartier
In the beginning of the book, we meet interior designer Kylie Edwards. Her life has fallen apart and she is devastated by a betrayal of the worst kind from her fiancé. She finds out in the worst way from her friend and maid of honor that she slept with her fiancé, on the way to the church’. Kylie had a melt down after this, she just wanted to slowly fade away because the man she thought loved her and a man she loved fully, cheated on her and was doing it during their courtship. She didn’t know what was true and what a lie in their relationship was. After realizing its time to let it go and move on from her near miss and just stay away from men like her ex-, She decides to just forget about men and make her professional life the one and only in her life. Her two friends have a convention in Las Vegas and she has some business there as well so off they go.
Here we get to meet Jake Royale who is the sexy owner of the hotel Kylie is staying at. He is a take charge kind of guy.Kylie mistakes him for the head security guard and he doesn’t correct that mistake. Kylie is supposed to be giving some business speech/ideas to the owner of the company and if he likes her ideas, he will hire Kylie and her company. On the day she arrives at the hotel, she comes upon the Tic Tac thief and this is where the comedy of errors start and Kylie and Jake start off with giving false identities to each other, all to keep their real identities a secret and to protect each other. You probably wonder why to protect what—you need to read the story to find out. I won’t give away spoilers. You start to see who Kylie is- spirited, headstrong and not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. But also, you see she is bothered by misleading Jake about her real name and continuing the charade. There is a battle within herself but she continues. Same said for Jake- because of him being the owner of the hotel, he doesn’t want to be liked for being rich and he is trying to find out what is going on in his hotel .
The chemistry is there and present- its explosive. But it’s a ticking time bomb because when Kylie finds out who Jake really is , she will go Nuke- She doesn’t want anything to do with rich men anymore, since what happened with her ex-fiancé. The feelings that MC have for each is so real and you can tell the fact they are hiding who they are from each other is wearing and its pains them. There are some twists and turns toward the end which is terrific. My only two grips that I have is this is a short story (130 pages) so I would have liked a little more story and would have loved to have seen something happen to the maid of honor and the cheating ex fiancé-more of a revenge type written in so the reader knows they got what was due them. Overall this is a good story, the MC have a great chemistry and the premise is one I can buy. I liked knowing there are other stories going on at the same time also worked but the author at same time kept the focus on Jake and Kylie. Would like to see another story written in this world and get to revisit Jake and Kylie , Ashlyn, Mark, Mason, and Sara.

MY ARC Review of Wanted by Dee Tenorio
This is a romantic suspense about the local law enforcement guy who has to investigate his friend (girl) for murder causing feelings, strong feelings between them. The girl has been in head over heels in love with him for many years and feels so betrayed that he would believe that he would believe this of her. Rick was in the military for years and when he got out, he came back and went to work in law enforcement in his town. There was his friend Whitney and their friendship was as tight as before. Whitney has a sister named Alison that she takes care of. Whitney is accused and killing an ex boyfriend and Rick is the investigator assigned to prove that she is the killer.
The more he investigates, the more secrets he finds out about his best friend and the desires he finds that she has for him …and oh so much more she has been hiding. Rick finds out how she protected him when he was around before and even now she is covering for him, protecting him at her peril . Someone is trying to frame Whitney or Whitney did the killing- that is driving Rick crazy- does he allow a murderer go free to protect the woman he is falling in love with. So many twists and turns in this story. The story starts out with one sided love and by the end so much passion, craziness, suspense. I was on the edge of my seat and omg Rick is one hard nosed Alpha and Whitney is such a sweet woman-I could feel how she has been trying to keep herself held together for so long but it was by a thread. Sweet, passionate, kind and all too trusting when maybe she shouldn’t be and has some horrors from her past- which Rick may have some horrors in his past of a different kind. This is book two of the Deadly Secrets series—I think possibly reading book 1 may have helped some but this could be a standalone.
I recommend this story because it has the suspense, mystery, romance and hot passion that readers look for in today’s reading and the author has it here.

My ARC Review of If You Dare by Jessica Lemmon
Lily and her coworker Marcus have made a bet that she couldn’t stay all night, alone, in a deserted house which is considered to be a haunted mansion. Lily couldn’t believe she let herself be talked into this dare but she wasn’t going to let Marcus win. Can we say competitive?? Lily is someone who is a go-getter, someone who has to win no matter what and she will sign up for everything and pushes herself to the edge. Some would call her extremely competitive at all costs –which I’m sure Lily would love the title. So, she knows if she stays all night long, she will win an all-expense paid trip to Hawaii that Marcus won at work-if she can’t make it thru the night, then she loses then Marcus wins and Lily will have to accompany him to the awards dinner as his date AND go without panties. Marcus has forever wanted Lily since the day he started working with Lily and when he asked her out once, she turned him down. Now here is his chance to win the bet and get the girl, if he can win the bet.
This book had several twists and turns. The MC had a competitive streak but at the same time, they used humor to deflect how they were feeling. This was a good office romance and the MC had a good chemistry. There was spark between them which Lily tried to fight but couldn’t. The humor was fantastic and several times had me laughing so hard, I was in tears. Co-Workers who are crushing on each other? No way?! LOL Do they end up together, will Lily realize that she has the right man in her life? Will Marcus continue on letting Lily “risk” the haunted house/mansion in order to get her where he needs her, in his life? All I can say is I really enjoyed my reading of this story-If I had any gripes, if was this was a tad too short. Other than that, I really enjoyed the co-workers to lovers story.
My rating: 4.3 stars ****

MY ARC Review of Drunk on You by Teri Anne Stanley
Justin Morgan goes off to Afghanistan with his best friend, David and he is the only one to come back alive. Justin promised his best friend he would look after his sister, Allie not knowing at the time she had grown into a sexy, independent and passionate woman. Justin comes home tortured over the fact he is alive and his friend is dead. He is expected to stay and take over the bourbon making business. Only thing really keeping him around is his bum ankle and Allie-Dave’s little sister.
Allie McGrath has been in love with her brother's best friend since she was young but he never saw her as anything but a kid sister and his best friend’s sister. Allie is feisty, she is headstrong, cute, but most often people overlook her except Dave and he is no longer around to be there for Allie. Allie has plans to have the distillery- She doesn’t know how many will respond to how she wants to save the distillery but hopes they would listen to her. Justin comes back into her life and the flames of passion spark back up between them. Justin has survivor’s guilt still and he allows that to be between them but he also has those sparks of passion. Can they finally be together after all this time or will he allow his fears to keep them apart?
This is a sweet, emotional story. It is sad because you wished the brother could have come home from the war to see his sister be happy and you wished that Justin and Dave could have continued with their friendship. It understood why but still the emotional piece of the story tears your heart. Both MC are good people who wanted to be happy and the ending was satisfying. Cannot wait to read more from this author.

My Review of Controlling Interests: A Step-Brother Romance (The Legacy Book 2) by Lana Grayson
In book two, we find Sarah is trapped by her step father’s
quest for power and for a child from her body. From the previous book which
carries over into book 2, She had been kidnapped, made to submit her body to her
three stepbrothers pretty much against her will at first and now she willingly
does it although at times she feels like she is forced to because if she
doesn’t, her stepfather has her beat. All so her stepfather can gain control of
her shares of the company. There is so much HATE for one man-Darius Bennett –and
his downfall is what she wants, needs and what she survives on. In order to get
what she wants she has to live to her 21st birthday to get her trust and if she
lives, it will be turned over and then there is the company which her brothers
had started up but died before they could live to see to fruition. Again,
another reason to hate her stepfather-he’s a murderer.
Sarah has made a deal with her 3 stepbrothers – they will protect her and they will get her body to keep her alive. At times she with them, seduced, trapped and then betrayed. Along the way, Sarah fell in love with one of her captors- Nicholas-the heir apparent-the prince –while the other brothers she feels love for but isn’t the same as she feels for Nick. Max is at times brutal and makes her crave the pain , while Reed has the mind games down to a pat. He isn’t brutal but he is good at the games. Still its Nick that her body has come to crave. But Nick continues to send Sarah to their beds every night to have them bed Sarah’s body…for a baby to come from the union. What a twisted , seductive taboo union comes from this. It started off to please the stepfather but in the end it comes to protect Sarah from Darius .
The ending of the book took me from one extreme high to such an extreme low. I was left with a cliffhanger and wondering where does Sarah go from here. WOW there were so many twists and emotional turns in this book , I didn’t know what was going to happen from one page to another. There were some truly heartbreaking moments in this book and some glimpses of light. Hoping book 3 will give up that rainbow that I know is there. I am hoping Sarah and her 3 stepbrothers catch a break finally and that even Darius get his. Oohh, and don’t get me started on that board of directors --let me just say, I do not want to give any spoilers away-there is going to be reckoning with them. I was at times in tears and at times yelling for them to kill Darius and at time praying for Sarah to have her HEA with her man(men). I pray in book 3 she and her man/men get this.
* note this book ends in a epic cliffhanger*

My ARC Review of Stepbrother Bad Boy's Baby by Lauren Landish
Julian is a bad boy. He has a father who goes thru women like their water and
Julian dislikes this. He has acted out due to this and gets into a lot of
trouble. Now his father is marrying again to a woman named Sandra and he has a
new step sister named Krystal.-WHOA when Julian sees her he almost doesn’t try
any funny lines on her. But he falls back on his tried and true lines. Krystal
understands because she sees he is angry and insecure inside over things with
his father and acts out. There is attraction between them. But Julian wants to
pay back his father for how he treated his mother so he wants to hurt his
father’s new wife who will ultimately hurt his father and what better way to do
that than seduce her daughter.
He starts a few days prior to the wedding trying to get her into bed, doesn’t work, at the wedding, he tries but doesn’t work so he starts working on others close to his new step mommy and lands her sister in law, Gina & Krystal’s aunt . The way he sees it, anyway he can get to his new step mommy works for him & also Krystal “wasn’t coming along quick “enough to suit him.
Fast forward 6 weeks later, he flies to Chicago and ends up securing a invite to stay with Krystal . They end up having a sort of tiff and he realizes that he is possibly in love with her. He tries to win her affections and that didn’t go over well at her work where she is a chef in training. She is in some Iron Chef competition. He made up for it and they spent a terrific night together getting to know each other. There was a sudden twist toward the end and then a sudden cliffhanger which I did not see coming. There will be a book 2 .
Julian at first made me not like him. He came off as cocky but there is a lot of pain behind him. Krystal I liked-she had spunk and she was a very sweet woman. I was hoping for alittle more to happen before the sudden stop to the book but I can understand. I also would have like to have seen more passion between the characters than what was in this book. It seemed more tame than in her other books. Otherwise, this was a great book1 and I CANNOT wait for book 2.

My ARC Review of 10 Rules to Catch a Billionaire by Penny Lam
This is a book that is different out there. This is a billionaire meets down on
her luck girl book but this is where the book stops being the same out there.
Roxie is in college and her mom has recently died. Roxie is barely making it on
the income she has to pay rent, and pay for college plus eat; then everything
comes falling down around her. Roxie is not sure what she is going to do. Roxie
finds she is falling apart and everything Is coming apart around her and she
doesn’t know how to fix it .During this time, she meets billionaire Trey Martin
and Roxie is remembering her mom’s ten rules to attract, seduce, and snare a
rich husband.
This book is a wonderful, terrific, full of laughs ride of how Roxie and Trey fall in love and come to realize what they mean to each other. There were some dramatic moments and there was some twists and a dramatic turn toward the end of the book featuring Roxie and her ex-boss. I have to say that Trey is such a laid back guy but when it comes to Roxie, he becomes a ALPHA male. Roxie is a terrific bundle of nerves, seductiveness, laughs, her need to be independent. . The passion between the two was terrific. What I enjoyed was the gifts that Roxie gave to Trey.
This was a wonderful story and I hope the author continues writing more stories like this.

ARC Review of Snake by Emilia Beaumont
Wow, this story isn’t the same step brother stories out there. It is different and oh so tempting.
You have the MC- Devan & Mila- who are step siblings. Now this story isn’t the regular step brother story. This is oh soo much better and the twist in this story will hook you immediately.
Mila is single, she is funny, sweet and kind but in a bad situation because she is about to be kicked out of where she lives—she is super desperate , to the point of taking any job that will allow her to keep her place where she is and help her pay the bills . Devon is her step brother who is married to this horrible woman and they cannot have kids. They have tried but just cannot. Devon is so handsome and kind to his wife but she is a shrew and is just nasty. The wife can’t get pregnant but they want a baby so they need a surrogate—Can you imagine what is next? Mila ends up being the surrogate for Devan’s wife…and you really want to keep your eyes on the wife , trust me on this.
The only problem is Mila is secretly in love with Devan and has been for many years since their parents got married and is afraid that Devan’s wife will find out, especially since now she is living in their home. She tries to keep her attraction hidden. But unknown to Mila, Devan also has been secretly attracted to her as well for some time too and didn’t know how to let her know. The chemistry between these two jump off the page. I truly felt so bad for them, for the wasted time when they could have been together and for Devon’s nasty wife. My heart hurt for them both. There was some twists that came up after they spent a wonderful, amorous, glorious night together. I felt like they both were pulled apart and I was rooting for their HEA. Yes, with Devon being married, it could never be but they must and I rooted for them. When I read this story, a line from a song came to me and it seemed to be fit this story as if was written especially.. “Got my mind on your body/And your body on my mind/Got a taste for the cherry/Die for each other/Take me down into your paradise…”
This story has two people who are torn between duty and pleasure; torn between Love and Commitment. I couldn’t stop reading this book and was so said when this book was over. You will be hooked from the first paragraph. This isn’t your usual step brother story.

ARC Review of Wicked by Alyssa Alpha
This story is very disturbing yet addicting. Words are hard to explain my reaction yet it kept drawing me back in. Addictive is one word I keep going back to .
Lily Ford has two step brothers and she loves them both yet they are dangerous to her heath- one loves her and the other one is out to hurt her, badly. Kade & Parker are identical twin brothers and they have this family with a step mom and Lily. Suddenly one day, the dad dies and then soon after Lily’s mom dies.
There is a tangled web woven and you get the impression that Kade didn’t like Lily; Parker and Lily got along so much like a house on fire. Couple years down the road , Parker is always there for Lily and Kade can’t be bothered to be around Lily and the reader sees the reason why- it’s because he is in love with is stepsister. There is something building and its evil like- Because the parents died, the company they built is left to Lily only and this has left a festering wound and after a night of heavy drinking, Parker comes up with something to hurt Lily, and Kade seems to agree, where they do something vindictive and nasty. The next morning, Kade seemed to want to back off but Parker was really crazy acting and wanted to go full steam ahead. Parker uses all he has to get super close to Lily and ply her , making her think he “loved her” when he really didn’t. This part really hurt my heart and I was yelling at my Kindle-yelling at Lily to run away from this mess but didn’t happen. Kade did try to intervene and it seems there is some sparks there and he tried to get Lily away…but Parker is slowly losing his grasp on reality on Fruit Loop at a time..as a reader, you can see him just starting to go unbalanced when she realizes that she has more feelings for Kade and cannot be there for Parker and that is when things go south . Then this is where I say folks, fruit loops have nothing on this Parker –think of the song by Eminem “The Monster” well Em said it best “You're trying to save me, stop holding your breath/you think I'm crazy, yeah/Well, that's nothing/I'm friends with the monster that's under my bed/Get along with the voices inside of my head…” I mean, this is what we start to see, a mentally unbalanced man who is crazy who is doing horrible things and will start doing horrible things to keep what he perceives as his . I do not want to give any spoilers away-let’s just say I’m surprised no one realized how sick Parker was mentally before now.
There are so many surprising twists and turns before the ending of this book. I had to stop several times to take a breath. I will admit at first I rooted for Parker then by the end of the book, I was thanking the author for making Kade the hero of this story for Lily. Do they end up with their HEA? Only you will know why reading this fantastic story. It is very much worth it to read this fantabulous story of how good vs evil…and who ultimately wins.

ARC Review of Unbroken by Emma Fawkes
This is a really moving story about two people who meet under a unique situation. They didn’t even realize that would end up as step brother and sister until later. Cameron Watson came in to The Washington D.C. National Military Medical Center ICU, hurt due to a bomb blast that took place while he was overseas serving as a member of the armed forces. Milly Hamilton is his nurse and she took really good care of him-she found something about him called to her deep. She didn’t know what but she would just talked to him while he was in his coma about things and she could call him “hot stuff” and just speak from her heart. When he woke up, it was like a dream come true. But when he woke up, he was quickly transferred to rehab and away from her.
Now during this time his father had visited and he is this big wig in the Joint Chiefs and he was so nasty to his son-didn’t seem to really care that his son survived while the other 6 men didn’t of the IED blast. Also, Milly’s mother who this senator had been nosing around –not to see her daughter but to make inroads with Cam’s father. You can tell both MC had horrible parents who didn’t care a whit about them, only about themselves and used the MC to do their bidding when it would get them something.
So during this time, Milly and Cam started seeing each other and then the parents ended up getting married and when the MC tell the parents they wanted to see each other- the “parents” put a guilt trip on them about how sinful that would be. Cam was dealing with the stress and guilt from the IED blast so he quits seeing Milly. There was a lot of anger on Milly’s side toward her mother and Cam’s father over how they just take over and make decisions when it’s not their life. I loved the play on the step brother theme when really they aren’t related and they didn’t even grow up together. There is more going on with Cam than what he is letting on. There is a slight twist toward the end. I liked how the story ended the author weaved a masterful story and I hope she continues to write more stories like this. I had even shed a few tears with this story-the HEA at the end was great. Milly and Cam are what I like my MC to be. Milly was a sweet, thoughtful, feisty girl who wanted to protect her man from harm; you have Cam who is a soulful, quiet, wounded man who is grieving for his lost friends well he had me from the moment he opened his eyes. Not to say he isn’t charming and sweet for he is but there is more beneath the surface. This story will be what you look to read after a long day and worth re-reading over and over.

Review of Monster Stepbrother by Harlow Grace
This book really is good. It has so many layers to it and it
will grab you right away and immediately capture you and pull you into the
story. This story is more than just a taboo
relationship between stepbrother and sister. There are some real issues going
on and the more you read in this book , you begin to see that everything isn’t rosy
and the author did a really terrific job making sure the reader sees this
without making everything overly glorified.
Oliver and Maya had their
lives change when their parents marry. Oliver did NOT like this and felt like
his life was going to change. He sees his pretty new little step sister and
wants her. He hates her YET he wants her. He fought his feelings hard and he
said some pretty hateful things to Maya to get her away from him. I don’t condone
what he did because he drove her mad with his behavior but Oliver’s behavior
seemed like he was bi-polar or on drugs but he was literally insane with his
wants/needs for Maya but he couldn’t really go for her because she was under 18
and he wanted her. Oliver comes off as a
selfish jerk, someone who is spoiled because he is too handsome for his own
good but deep down that isn’t the case. He is tormented because he is in love
with his step sister and he is afraid to act on that attraction.
Maya has been in love with Oliver since she
met him, to her he is handsome, sexy, full of danger (get the picture). Yet she
knows it’s wrong, even sick to have these feelings for him for her step
brother. She ends up talking to a friend about how bad she feels and the talk
goes toward an act of revenge—oh no when I read that, I knew that was wrong and
it would end up hurting her but too late. Maya is already on a path of self-destruction
and there is so much wrong here but I know both of them are in pain. My heart
cries out for them both. Maya is a sensitive, beautiful girl whose heart aches
for the love of one man but knows he is lost to her. She does things she knows
it wrong to keep the pain from driving her insane.
There are so many twists and turns in this
dark, seductive story with moments of highs and lows. There are times when the
MC are happy and there are times when they are crying ; there are times they
are running away from the pain and running to each other for comfort. I didn’t know
what was going to happen except I wanted them to find their HEA with each other
and quit running from the past and from each other and run to each other. There are some demons that they each have to
face to come out stronger than before but I have to say this is beautifully
written and even though at first I thought Oliver was a monster, he ended up
being Maya’s angel.

My ARC Review of Hide Me by Lexi Scott
Hide Me is ok, could be better
I read this story and felt like there was so much more to it. It started off great. Whit Conrad ran away from home and the memories that were consuming her and making her feel like she was drowning due to her brother’s passing. She moved all the way out to sunny California, went to all the places he went that gave her peace and made her feel happier, alive again. She even went as far as getting a job at the place her brother received his first tattoo .
Deo Beckett is unemployed, happy to go thru life living with his grandfather, surfing and just coasting and drinking A LOT. He is happy to move thru life without doing more, even though he knows he needs to be doing more . He goes in to get a tattoo when he meets this sexy gal with a smart mouth and eyes that have seen so much pain.
They keep running into each other and they start hanging out and they more they hang out, the more he likes her but she was not interested in anything other in just being friends. Deo plans on changing her mind. Whit cant let her guard down because of the pain in her life. She cant let Deo in her life because if she were to lose him, she couldn’t live any further.
Deo realized that by being there for Whit, he found his meaning in life and his passion. By pushing himself into her life, he may have pushed her out of his life. Did he just push the one person he loved out of his life forever?
There are great elements that I liked about this book but it seemed that the book started off great, it seemed to stall halfway thru the book and by the ending it ended great. So I am torn—it was great up to 40% and then 40% to 80% it was so slow and just was hard to read and then from 80% to the ending was fantastic. SO I will give this the rating I will and say I understand how the heroine have the feelings she does and I do understand how the hero has the feelings he does and pushes the way he does. Tragedy makes people act in strange ways and you want to protect yourself in many ways so you do things to make sure you do not go thru that again. I had to have a box of tissues handy at times because I was crying. I did feel the emotions that the female MC felt so I want say the author was able to communicate that which was great but the slowness really got to me.

My ARC Review of Master of the Hunt by Mandy M Roth
This is book 3 in the King of Prey series. This story is Prince Aeson’s story.
King Kabril confronts his
brother Prince Aeson and tells him how he isn’t doing his “duty” to their
planet and their people and that he needs to find a true mate. Aeson disagrees
but Kabril has already moved forward and calls the Oracles together to see if
they can help but they really give Kabril & Aeson just bits in Aeson ‘s quest—saying
he needs to look for a “Sparrow” in order to find his true mate and that he
must save her life, and that he will find her in a bar. Aeson knows what
he must do and goes to find his mate and his tune does a 360 when he realizes
that his mate will be a rare female seer. Then Aeson knows he must find his mate
and save her before harm falls her.
The story really begins when he
goes to find this rare female seer, his true mate but not knowing what she
looks like or who she is. Aeson goes to
Earth and there he visit’s the place he often sought pleasure of human women
the only clue he is given to aid in his search the “Sparrow “. Into the club in the club comes
Shelby Sparrows, a human woman who wakes up every single pore in Aeson and then
some. She comes into the club with some guy who is giving off some crazy bad
evil vibes and he wants to rescue her and take her away from this guy. Things
in the story take a strange turn when Shelby is in danger and Aeson goes to
rescue her. Then come to find out Shelby isn’t all human but part shifter . There are family secrets on Shelby’s side which
lead to a happy reunion in some part. There is some twists and turns which in
the end lead to a HEA in this wild ride.
Shelby is a spite of a lass who gives
as good as she gets. She doesn’t take any guff from Aeson and she is such a
great mate for him. I loved her character. Aeson really was getting lonely and
his family saw it and wanted him to be happy.Aeson was such an ALPHA male with
his mate –strong, sexy and PROTECTIVE. The bedroom scenes were yummy. Oh and there is laughter as well. It isn’t so
series- yes you have series themes but the characters made sure to keep things
hopping and the laughter and lines kept me laughing. LOVED IT!! I felt like I was
there which is hard to find for a book and I cannot wait to read the next in
this series.
