Low on angst, high on romance. Full of lighthearted, both leads have strong personalities which works well with the story. Jace is grumpy, Penny is helping her friend by working for Jace. Then suddenly the next day, she's his "fiancée". It’s supposed to be for just a week but then real feelings get involved... Romance, heat, feels, attraction and fantastic banter. The Long Way Home by Harper Sloan My rating: 4 of 5 stars The Long Way Home is the final book in the Corps Security series by Harper Sloan. This book was about 10 years from her last CS and her first in 5 years. It feels so good to go back home. In LWH, we get Olivia and Drew's story. Olivia is a new character while Drew is someone we have met before. I don't want to give too much away (spoilers 😁). Drew is mysterious. He is this handsome man who makes it a point to come to Olivia's coffee shop and been going there for several years. Olivia is a single parent to her cutie niece, rocks running her coffee shop and keeps doing it all by herself, albeit some help from friends. Olivia is attracted to Drew but he doesn't seem interested in her like she is in him. But is it as it seems or does Drew want Olivia, more than she knows.
