My Review:

The Lie is book 1 in the Charade series by Stella Gray. This is best friends/fake marriage romance story that ends in a cliffhanger. This is Emzee and Ford's story.  Emzee is the youngest sister to Stefan & Luka Zoric. This is her story. She's been best friends with Ford since high school and in love with him about the same length of time. He has never seen her in the same light except as just a friend. Now they are adults and he's keeping her clearly on the BFF front only while Emzee wants more but is starting to realize that she needs more. Then Ford asks her to be his fake girlfriend then from there, his fake wife, Emzee can't say no. There are twists that will definitely stop any HEA at this point. Ford is such a huge player. He doesn’t even care for Emzee. He is trying to live his life and prevent his mother from making inroads into his life, so because of Emzee's "crush"...yeah. Big Jerk, that Ford. There are emotional rollercoaster moments and there's that moment- whoa! Now I can't wait for book 2 "The Act" - Will Emzee and Ford get their HEA now? Must read 📚
