Well, let’s see ... I’m a wife and a mother. If the things that I write bring a smile to someone's face, then I've done my job. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I'll love you forever.

The Ex-Effect was everything I had hoped for when I picked up this book by a phenomenal author. This was a sweet story with great characters along with amazing writing style.
This is the second book in the series. This was Ava's story with her love interest Mathew. Years ago, While they were in college together, Mathew used to be her sister's fiance until her older sister cheated on him and dumped him. Then that's when Matthew left Ava's young life. Matthew was the only person who really cared about Ava in her family - everyone else put her down, treated her horribly yet he truly cared until he left. Fast forward years later and Matthew is retired from the NFL, but making a comeback to Ava's team,Washington Wolves- aka known as her workplace where she is known as the Head PR person for the team. His comeback is really a really big deal, and they see each other again.
Ava and Matthew have quite the past. One that isn’t so pleasant one would think. Yet these two have always had a bond and once they reunite, feelings start to resurface and grow. Ava and Matthew are the perfect match for each other but walls have to be let down for anything to occur. Matthew does a great job of working down Ava’s walls but its finally Ava who gets her head out of that dark place to allow that final fall. In the end, True Love triumphs!
